The Record broadcaster will make a major investment in its Sunday programming. The classic cartoon Pica-Pau, after a two-year hiatus, is back on the channel’s schedule starting next Sunday, the 21st, filling part of the morning slot on the Record Kids block.
The children’s program will be broadcast from 10:30 am to 12:15 pm, coming before the popular series “Everybody Hates Chris”. This initiative is part of a strategic plan by Record to capture the attention of children and family audiences, seeking to solidify its audience and intensify the dispute for second place in the ranking of open channels with SBT, a movement that highlights the value of timeless attractions that connect different generations of viewers.
The return of the iconic character represents yet another point in the vast history of the bond between Pica-Pau and Rede Record. For many years, the animation has established itself as one of the most successful productions on the broadcaster’s programming, obtaining significant audience numbers at various stages.
The transmission will have an important peculiarity. The first 30-minute period of the animated marathon will be broadcast exclusively to the Greater São Paulo region and to locations that do not have a local programming schedule in the same time slot.
