Official registration data for the first half of June, released by Fenabrave, indicate a decrease in the performance of some prominent vehicles, when compared to the month of May. The Fiat Strada (6,111), although it remains in the overall lead, registered a drop of more than 700 units compared to the previous fortnight and saw its difference with the VW Polo (4,659) reduced to less than 1,500 units, signaling a tighter competition in the light pickup truck segment.
The automaker Volkswagen secured another presence in the top 3 with the T-Cross (4,235), with its two models being exceptions when registering an increase in sales compared to May. Next, the Hyundai HB20 (3,808) and the Fiat Argo (3,423) appeared. The VW Tera (3,423) achieved the same sales volume as the Fiat model, sharing fifth place. BYD, with the Dolphin Mini (2,972) and the Song (2,899), once again demonstrated its strength, positioning two vehicles among the ten best-selling vehicles, right after the Hyundai Creta (3,062), which highlights the growing relevance of electric and hybrid vehicles in the national market.
Maintaining an almost unchanged performance compared to the previous fortnight, the Chevrolet Onix (2,650) once again established itself in tenth position. On track to establish a new sales record in Brazil, the BYD Dolphin (2,396) appears in the next position. The Renault Kwid (1993), occupying fifteenth place, is the only entry-level car to surpass the 1,500 units mark at the beginning of June.
The Geely EX2, with 1,828 units sold, is already among the twenty most prominent models. The Hyundai HB20S, with a total of 1,754 registrations, reaffirms its position as the only sedan in the list. The list also includes the Jeep Renegade (1,742), the most sought after of the Jeep brand, and the robust Chevrolet S10, which registered 1,555 units sold.
