A woman and her two daughters lost their lives in a serious accident that occurred this Monday morning (22) on BR-285, in Colorado, in the north of Rio Grande do Sul. At the time of the collision, the mother was taking her eldest daughter back to Não-Me-Toque, the municipality where the young woman lived and worked. Family members reported that the daughter had the habit of spending weekends in the company of her mother and sister.
The victims were identified as Elizangela Bauermann, 44 years old; Daiane Bauermann, 25; and Gisele Bauermann, 17. The names were officially confirmed by relatives.
The Bauermann family has faced significant loss before, with the passing of Elizangela’s husband more than a decade ago. The mother lived in Saldanha Marinho with her youngest daughter, Gisele, making Monday’s tragedy even more impactful for the municipality and her loved ones.
Saldanha Marinho City Hall declares official mourning
The municipal government of Saldanha Marinho released a statement of deep regret, instituting a three-day Official Mourning due to the tragedy.
In its statement, the public body stated: “There are no words that can express the consternation that grips our entire community in the face of such an early and devastating loss for the same family.”
The city hall also assured that it will provide all necessary support to family members. The note ended with the message: “May faith and divine comfort embrace and sustain the heart of each family member and friend who mourns this irreparable loss.”
Details about the dynamics of the collision
According to information from the Federal Highway Police (PRF), the people who died were the driver of a Classic vehicle and her two daughters. The impact occurred at approximately 6:45 am, at kilometer 365 of the highway. It was reported that two of the victims were trapped between the car’s hardware.
The driver of the trailer involved, a 49-year-old man, was not injured in the incident.
The Carazinho Fire Department team and PRF agents were responsible for responding to the incident. The General Institute of Expertise (IGP) was also mobilized to conduct technical analysis at the scene of the accident.
