Journalist Mark Gurman detailed, in his weekly Bloomberg column, Apple’s ambitious launch schedule for the coming years. The technology company would be preparing a series of products until 2027 or 2028, a period that he described as one of the most innovative in its trajectory. Among the expected launches are new generations of iPhones and AirPods, as well as glasses with artificial intelligence, iPads, Macs and other devices, indicating an aggressive strategy to dominate new markets and maintain its technological relevance.

News expected for September and expectations for 2026

The coming months of September should bring significant news to the Cupertino giant’s portfolio. Among them, the long-awaited iPhone 18 Pro line and the likely presentation of the first foldable iPhone. The Apple Watch Series 12 and the Apple Watch Ultra 4 are also expected. For the year 2026, Gurman suggests the arrival of several models of Macs and an entry-level iPad that will integrate Apple Intelligence functionality. In addition, a new iPad mini with an OLED 1 screen, a smart home hub and updates for Apple TV and HomePod mini, although in an advanced testing phase, are not expected to present major innovations.

The main highlights expected for 2027

The year 2027 also promises a series of launches from the company. The beginning of the year, during spring in the northern hemisphere, may include the second generation of the iPhone Air. However, the spotlight should be on the brand’s 20th anniversary iPhone and the debut of the second generation of the iPhone Ultra, models that promise remarkable innovations for consumers.

Futuristic technologies: smart glasses and desktop robot between 2027 and 2028

Other important launches include new AirPods with cameras and Apple’s entry into the smart glasses market. Although initially scheduled for the end of 2026, the launch of the glasses has been postponed until the end of next year, according to the most recent forecast. Between late 2027 and 2028, the company may also introduce a desktop robot, expanding its portfolio of connected devices and exploring the field of home robotics.

The long-term vision for Apple Vision Pro and augmented reality

Longer term, Gurman pointed out that an update to Apple Vision Pro and the development of new augmented reality glasses are in Apple’s plans. These projects will be overseen by John Ternus, whose tenure at the head of the area begins on September 1st, signaling the company’s continued focus on the evolution of immersive experiences.
