Jenny Mollen, a well-known actress, recently shared a frightening experience with weight loss medication. The episode, which took place in June last year, was narrated by her on the podcast ‘Let’s Talk Off Camera With Kelly Ripa’ this Wednesday (24), and even involved her ex-husband Jason Biggs in moments of panic.
“I used microdoses of GLPs and other peptides,” described Mollen. She said that she suddenly began to have severe bleeding, with clots that she compared to the “size of dinosaur eggs”, describing the situation as extremely frightening. GLP-1 agonists, such as Ozempic and Wegovy, are popularly used for weight management and diabetes, but the occurrence of such heavy bleeding is an atypical reaction and is not a common side effect associated with these medications, according to medical studies.
The actress revealed that every time she used the bathroom she felt a sensation of “laying an egg”. In one of these moments, she heard a “ploc” and found herself surrounded by a large amount of blood.
Mollen called Biggs for help, but the actor, of ‘American Pie’ fame, responded by screaming, describing the scene as something from a “horror movie.” Initially, the actress chose not to go to the hospital, but her condition worsened considerably that same night.
Mollen recalled informing Biggs of the intense blood loss while he himself lay unconscious next to her in bed. Then, while trying to go to the bathroom, she suffered a vasovagal reaction and passed out on the floor.
Eventually, Biggs regained consciousness and was able to take Mollen to a medical facility. They returned home around 6am the next day, after what the actress described as a “harrowing night”.
Jenny Mollen and Jason Biggs’ divorce was recently reported by Page Six and People Magazine. The Daily Mail newspaper pointed out that Biggs’ weight loss and professional stress contributed to a crisis in the couple’s relationship.
Biggs, recognized for his role in the ‘American Pie’ franchise, met Jenny while filming the film ‘Friends, Friends, Women Apart’, in 2008. The engagement took place in January of the same year, and the wedding was celebrated in April. The couple have two sons, Sid, 12, and Lazlo, 8.
