BYD’s new Denza N8L 2027 SUV arrives with an electric range of 430 km and prices starting at R$240,000
BYD, a Chinese automotive giant, has just launched the 2027 Denza N8L in China, an SUV that promises significant advances. Equipped with a 75.26 kWh LFP battery, the new vehicle expands its capacity to travel up to 430 km in all-electric mode, in accordance with the CLTC standard, a Chinese test cycle for light vehicles.
Denza, which serves as BYD’s premium sub-brand, has presented an updated version of its large SUV, the N8L 2027, in China. The renewed model not only offers greater electric range, but also incorporates ultra-fast charging technology. Two versions are available on the Chinese market, with prices ranging between 319,800 and 349,800 yuan, which corresponds to approximately R$240,000 to R$262,000, considering the current price.
Dimensions and chassis engineering of the new Denza N8L 2027
In terms of dimensions, the BYD Denza N8L 2027 measures 5,200 mm in length, 1,999 mm in width and 1,820 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,075 mm. The vehicle’s curb weight varies between 2,980 kg and 3,120 kg, depending on the configuration chosen. To ensure robust and comfortable performance, the SUV employs an independent double wishbone suspension on the front wheels and an advanced 5-link multilink system on the rear wheels.
Still in engineering, the model incorporates BYD’s DiSus-A active suspension system, which improves stability and driving comfort. Additionally, it has a steering system on the rear wheels with a 10-degree angle, which allows the turning radius to be reduced to just 4.58 m, making maneuvering easier. For driver assistance, the vehicle uses BYD’s DiPilot 300 platform, which integrates a LiDAR sensor positioned on the roof, three millimeter wave radars and seven cameras.
Comfort and advanced technology inside the SUV
The interior of the 2027 BYD Denza N8L is designed with a 2+2+2 seating configuration, prioritizing space and convenience. Two new color options, Amber Brown and Coral Red, have been introduced to create a more welcoming and refined environment. The seats are covered in Nappa leather, and both the first and second rows offer business class seats with heating, ventilation and massage functions as standard. The third row seats have an exclusive heating function.
In the center of the dashboard, a 17.3-inch infotainment screen stands out, complemented by a 13.2-inch screen for the front passenger. The sound experience is enhanced by a Devialet audio system with 20 speakers, and the vehicle also features an 11-liter refrigerator that offers heating and cooling functions. For the convenience of passengers, there are folding tables in the rear seats and multi-layer sound-insulating privacy glass.
In addition to these features, the new SUV is equipped with a multi-screen integration system and the ultra-intelligent assistant “Disha”. This system was developed to offer personalized services by predicting user needs, memorizing preferences and learning over time to optimize the onboard experience.
The top-of-the-line version of the 2027 Denza N8L features additional features such as 21-inch wheels and a trunk with electric opening and closing. It also includes active seat belt pretensioners, a 17.3-inch screen dedicated to the second row of seats and front seats that offer zero gravity function with footrest adjustment.

Increased autonomy and charging efficiency
The 6-seat N8L model, previously launched at the end of 2025 as a complement to the Denza N9 to increase price competitiveness, had a range in pure electric mode of just 230 km. The new version is equipped with a 75.26 kWh LFP battery, which represents an increase of approximately 60% compared to the previous 46.99 kWh battery, increasing the range in pure electric mode (CLTC standard) to 430 km.
A key feature of the Denza N8L 2027 update is its ultra-fast charging technology. Denza reported that the model supports a maximum direct current (DC) fast charging power of 728 kW. This SUV is compatible with Chinese car manufacturers’ leading fast charging systems, with the ability to charge from 10% to 70% in just 5 minutes, and from 10% to 97% in 9 minutes, even with a charging delay of just 3 minutes in temperatures of -30 degrees Celsius.
Vehicle power and hybrid architecture
These impressive charging capabilities and electrical performance are made possible by the 800V electrical architecture and second-generation Blade battery. With a full fuel tank and a fully charged battery, the vehicle’s total range can reach an impressive 1,550 km. The Denza N8L 2027 also has a plug-in hybrid propulsion system (PHEV), which integrates a 2.0L four-cylinder turbo gasoline engine, capable of generating a maximum power of 202 horsepower, in addition to a front electric motor and two rear electric motors, totaling a combined system power of 751 horsepower.
