After a successful theatrical run, the film “Project Hail Mary”, starring Ryan Gosling, is preparing to begin its digital journey on the Prime Video streaming service.
The work was directed by the filmmaker duo Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, and its arrival on Prime Video is scheduled for July 3rd, as reported by specialized vehicles.
The main cast of “Project Hail Mary” includes Ryan Gosling and Sandra Huller. The plot follows a high school science teacher who finds himself thrust into a space mission on behalf of the United States government.
The film production was a notable box office highlight during the spring period, accumulating more than US$683 million on a global scale. The theatrical release took place on March 20.
The script for “Project Hail Mary” was adapted by Drew Goddard, and its production involved Amy Pascal, Ryan Gosling, Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, Weir, Rachel O’Connor and Aditya Sood. The remarkable financial performance, especially for a science fiction film, gives Amazon MGM Studios the confidence to boost the work in several award categories throughout this year.
Previously, Ryan Gosling revealed that recording some sequences was particularly challenging, mainly due to the physical absence of his co-star.
The actor shared that his daughters, Esmeralda Amada and Amada Lee, played a pivotal role, helping him during filming by voicing the alien character through a headset.
“There are moments when I’m laughing or delighted, and it’s actually my daughters talking to me,” Gosling said in an interview. He added that his heirs had an active participation in the project, following several editions of the film and contributing suggestions.
Gosling highlighted that their presence was one of the crucial reasons for accepting the role. “I did this for them, essentially,” he declared, reiterating that his daughters’ opinions are the most important to him.
