An American resident, who describes himself as an investigator of the legendary “Bigfoot”, claims to have discovered the body of the mythical figure. Charles Stuart, known as Snake, claims to have scientific evidence that the “remains” he found belong to a genuine Sasquatch and that its genetic makeup has partially human traits.

This supposed discovery came to light in 2024. Stuart, nicknamed Snake, reports having found the “decomposing remains of a Sasquatch”, which would measure approximately 2.4 meters in height and weigh around 136 kilos, in the Adirondack Mountains, located in the state of New York, in the United States.

The hunter said he sent samples to Cornell University for DNA testing. The results, according to their statements, indicate that the creature would be a combination of Neanderthal and human genetic material, as initially reported by the “NY Post”.

“After performing a DNA test, we identified that 58.5% are Neanderthal and the remaining 41.5% are human,” Stuart told Local 4 Detroit on Sunday, July 5.

“What we have is a hybrid of Neanderthal and human. And this Neanderthal component, which evolved over millennia, remained very aggressive,” commented Stuart when referring to Dack, the name he gave to the alleged corpse.

The analysis reportedly carried out by Cornell points out that the archaic DNA was likely derived from “a highly specific family lineage” that managed to avoid the genetic bottlenecks faced by modern humans after the last Ice Age, according to a copy of the report purportedly examined by the NY Post. The document indicated the presence of Neanderthal DNA of European and Asian origins, intertwined with some Native American ancestry, suggesting a genetic complexity rarely associated with urban legends.

Stuart also informed the broadcaster that Dack’s dentition was examined, allowing it to be estimated that the creature was between the end of adolescence and early 20s at the time of his death.
