The long-awaited return of the anime Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation, with its third season, will have a total of 14 episodes, bringing relief and anticipation to fans of the saga. The official broadcast began on Friday, July 5, 2026, in Japan, with Crunchyroll making the chapters available to a global audience.

This number of episodes, higher than the standard of 12 seen in many productions, is welcome news for admirers, suggesting a more complete and faithful adaptation of the light novel’s rich narrative. The original work, written by Rifujin na Magonote and illustrated by Shirotaka, was completed in November 2022 with 26 volumes, ensuring vast material for this and future seasons and allowing the new phase to explore the details of the story in greater depth.

Plot details and the role of the main characters

The new season will delve deeper into the lives of Rudeus Greyrat and Eris Boreas, central characters in the plot. Rudeus, now in a new chapter of his life, takes on the role of father and husband, dividing his attention between Sylphiette, his first wife and mother of his daughter, and Roxy Migurdia, his newly married second wife.

While Rudeus seeks to balance his personal life with his studies, the narrative will also revisit Eris’s past. Determined to surpass Rudeus’ feats and prepared to confront the fearsome Orsted, the Dragon God, Eris will be focused on her arduous training.

Number of episodes confirmed for the new phase of the saga

The third season of Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation will have 14 episodes, distributed across two Blu-ray sets, each containing seven chapters. This structure indicates a substantial adaptation of the work, covering important narrative arcs of the light novel.

The 26-volume light novel’s conclusion in November 2022 ensures that there is more than enough material to expand the series for several more seasons, an exciting prospect for the dedicated fanbase.
