Microsoft revealed plans for its space at Gamescom 2026, which will be in Cologne, Germany. The company will have 140 stations for experimenting with games and will make new presentations. The live broadcast sessions will start at 11am, following Brasília time.

The Xbox division has officially participated in Gamescom 2026, the biggest gaming event on the European continent, scheduled to take place from August 26th to 30th. The company will set up one of the largest recent stands, displaying 25 new titles and offering 140 testing points. This edition of the fair also celebrates 25 years of the Xbox brand, with interactive areas that revisit its trajectory.

Top games available for the public to try

Audiences in attendance will have the chance to play highly anticipated titles before their release. The main attraction is “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4”, which will allow visitors to test the classic six-on-six multiplayer mode on Xbox Series X. This will be the debut of the definitive version of the game, after the testing phases are completed.

Gamescom will also host a significant moment with “Gears of War: E-Day.” The event will host the first public playable demo of the campaign, offering a preview of the beginning of the conflict against the Locust and the beginning of the union between Marcus Fenix and Dominic Santiago. The game is expected to be released on October 6, 2026.

Other prominent games include “Minecraft Dungeons II”, which can be experienced for the first time, and “METRO 2039”, scheduled for February 2027, set in the post-apocalyptic ruins of Moscow. The list of important games is complemented by “Stranger Than Heaven” and “Alien: Isolation 2”.

Special theater presentation for Fable

A relevant aspect, which was not as visible in previous coverage, is that Playground Games organized a theatrical presentation for “Fable”. The format will include a longer gameplay demo shown live at the booth. Unlike a common testing area, this will be an exclusive session for the RPG, whose launch has been postponed until 2027.

Complete list of all games present at the stand

In addition to the titles already mentioned, the Xbox environment will offer a varied range of productions, both from independent developers and large publishers. This selection includes the space horror game “Alien Deathstorm”, the curious “Bad Magpie” and the vampire-themed RPG “The Blood of Dawnwalker”.

For action game enthusiasts, there will be several alternatives, such as “Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse”, the metroidvania style “Crowsworn” and “Genigods: Nezha”, inspired by Chinese culture. Completing the list are “Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy”, “STAR WARS Zero Company”, “Terrible Lizards”, “Turok: Origins” and “Valor Mortis”.

It is important to highlight that the stand will also once again host Xbox FanFest, an event dedicated to the brand’s international community, scheduled for the evening of August 26th.

Options to follow the event from home

For those who are unable to go to Germany, it will be possible to follow the entire schedule online. Xbox will host live streams direct from the booth on August 26th and August 27th. The sessions are scheduled to start at 11 am, Brasília time.

The agenda includes interviews with game creators, guest personalities, presentations of new gameplay and exclusive trailers. All material will be broadcast at the same time on YouTube and Twitch, at no cost to viewers.

The company also guaranteed the inclusion of accessibility features in the official broadcast. American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation and English audio description will be provided. According to the company, some content will have support for other languages.

Expectations for this edition of Gamescom

The decision to invest in a large stand reflects the importance of the moment. With the end of E3, Gamescom has established itself as the most relevant global event in the games industry, intensifying competition for visibility among major publishers in recent years.

This period is crucial for Microsoft. The company has emphasized the strategy of making its games available on as many platforms as possible, and the public exposure of games such as “Gears of War: E-Day” and “Fable” strengthens this vision. Additionally, the brand’s 25th anniversary serves as a call to nostalgia for older players.

For the Brazilian public, the broadcast time represents a benefit. With the sessions starting at 11am, many viewers will be able to follow the announcements live, avoiding the need to get up early, something common at events taking place in the United States or Japan.
