Xbox Game Pass receives Blood Dungeon and Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy

Xbox maintains its routine of announcing new games for Game Pass every fortnight, regardless of recent industry layoffs and studio closures. The company released the list of titles that will arrive on the service in the next two or three weeks, including three releases that will be available on the same day as their debuts.

Early access for Vapor World: Over The Mind began today, August 19, 2026, for Steam and Xbox platforms. Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers can participate in this initial stage of the two-dimensional action game, which has a combat style and enemies reminiscent of soulslike titles. Currently, the game has negative reviews, and its cinematic sequences raise suspicions of intense use of artificial intelligence, although the game’s Steam page clarifies that the images are original, with the AI ​​used only to animate them.

Two other simultaneous releases stand out this fortnight for Game Pass: Blood Dungeon and Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy. On August 25, 2026, developer Messhof, known for titles such as Nidhogg and Flywrench, presents Blood Dungeon, a shooter and platform game. In it, players must resist waves of enemies and use the collected blood to improve their skills. The bones obtained on each journey ensure that future raids are more effective, but the greater the survival, the greater the level of chaos on the screen.

Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy, a spin-off that serves as a prequel, was also developed by Asobo. The game promises more action than the other two titles mentioned, but incorporates puzzle sections that can either enrich or hinder the rhythm of the adventure, set on Minotaur Island. Sophia’s journey is scheduled to begin on August 27, 2026 and shows potential to be one of the most relevant releases of the month.

In addition to the additions to the more expensive subscription levels, Game Pass Premium continues to incorporate games that were already available on Ultimate a few months ago. The reward for subscribers at this level comes with titles like Egging On, which was released on August 18, 2026. This challenging ascension game tests the player’s patience as they try to reach the top of a chicken coop with an egg that can spin, bounce and pivot to avoid breaking the shell. Still for Game Pass Premium, BlazBlue Entropy Effect X and Relooted are incorporated today, August 19, 2026. BlazBlue Entropy Effect X is a two-dimensional action roguelite that offers a promising experience for subscribers. Relooted, released in February 2026, was developed by the South African studio Nyamakop. The game invites players to join a team of experts tasked with recovering works of art stolen from African nations and returning them to their countries of origin, with missions that require heist planning and quick execution with jumps, zip lines and turbos.

Young Suns will also arrive for Game Pass Premium users starting August 31, 2026. Previously, the title was only available in early access for the platform’s most expensive tiers. Developed by the cooperative KO_OP, known as Goodbye Volcano High, Young Suns began its journey on Xbox at the end of 2025 and will have its version 1.0 released at the end of August 2026, with no confirmed date for Steam. It is a cooperative simulator set on Jupiter, which explores an optimistic future where human cooperation is fundamental to prosperity.

Other releases for Game Pass Premium include Starsand Island, available on August 20, 2026, a quiet life simulator ideal for the month of August. On August 25, 2026, Aerial_Knight’s DropShot arrives, a first-person shooter where the player shoots while in free fall, facing other humans or dragons. Finally, Shelldiver, an incremental game from Gagonfe, will be incorporated into all Game Pass levels on September 1, 2026. In it, a turtle defeats jellyfish to sell its shells and acquire improvements, in a somewhat peculiar mechanic.
