A new promotional video for Stellar Blade was revealed by Shift Up, confirming that the Complete Edition of the game will have compatibility with Joy-Con 2 motion controls on the Nintendo Switch 2. This trailer, which was accompanied by new art for the title for the Nintendo platform, maintains the release date for 2026.

The material released by the South Korean developer reiterates the central premise of Stellar Blade: players will control EVE, an elite fighter on a mission to retake Earth from enigmatic entities. The story unfolds in a science fiction universe, combining dynamic battles with a plot that gradually unravels the mysteries behind the collapse of civilization.

One of the most relevant points is the confirmation of support for Joy-Con 2 motion controls. Shift Up reported that this functionality will be implemented in specific actions that do not involve direct confrontations. According to the company, the objective is to “add an extra layer of immersion in moments away from combat”, which means that the feature will improve the experience in certain interactions, without replacing traditional commands in fight sequences.

For those who are not yet familiar with the Stellar Blade universe, the game is an action RPG characterized by a robust character progression system, which includes customizable skills, equipment and combat strategies, a crucial element during boss battles. The Complete Edition, expected for the Nintendo Switch 2, already suggests being the most comprehensive version of the title.

Currently, the game is available for PlayStation 5 and PC, through Steam. However, the Complete Edition for the Nintendo Switch 2 does not yet have an exact release date, remaining only expected to hit the market at some point in 2026.
