Research into the One UI 9 Beta 7 code, developed for the Galaxy S26, indicates that Samsung and Google plan to expand scam detection to a greater number of Galaxy cell phones, ranging from older models to the long-awaited Galaxy S27 line. This functionality is being tested on several devices that do not yet have official support, as determined on August 31, 2026.
The Galaxy S25, S25 Plus, S25 Edge and S25 Ultra models are among the devices mentioned in the code, as well as the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7 and the Galaxy Z TriFold. The appearance of these identifiers in sections linked to scam detection reinforces the intention to extend the feature, which already exists on other phones.
Additionally, the same code mentions four devices from the Galaxy S27 series, with the identifiers SM-S952, SM-S956, SM-S957 and SM-S958. These are speculated to be the future Galaxy S27, S27 Plus, S27 Pro and Galaxy S27 Ultra, although Samsung has not made any official confirmation regarding these nomenclatures.
Fragments of the code also indicate that the next Galaxy S27 family should maintain the strategy of using Exynos and Snapdragon processors together, varying according to the market. The code “s5e9975” was found, which refers to the Exynos 2700 chip, in addition to generic allusions to “qcom”, without details about which Qualcomm platform would be used.
Although the inclusion of these models in the code points to testing and development phases, there is no guarantee that all devices will receive the scam detection functionality in the definitive version of One UI 9. Furthermore, Samsung has not yet released a release schedule, and the Galaxy S27 series is only expected to hit the market in a few months.
