New information about the components of Samsung’s future Galaxy S27 line is beginning to emerge, even though there are still many months to go before its official launch. Recently, a developer on the X platform, known as Schrödinger, brought additional details about Samsung’s internal platform that promises to equip the next devices.

Data related to the Exynos 2700, internally named “Ulysses”, suggests that the chipset could be accompanied by a Samsung Xclipse 970 GPU. This graphics unit would be based on a new generation architecture from AMD, a detail that gains even more relevance with the appearance of the platform in the One UI 9 Beta 7 code, directly associated with the Galaxy S27 series.

The leaked information also indicates a configuration of six Workgroup Processors (WGPs), which is equivalent to 12 computational units (CUs), and a total of up to 1,536 stream processors. The GPU’s operating frequency is estimated to be between 1.45 GHz and 1.50 GHz, and the manufacturing of the component must use Samsung’s own 2-nanometer SF2P process.

In terms of raw performance, estimates point to a processing capacity in FP32 (single precision floating point) between 6.2 and 6.8 TFLOPS. For FP16 operations (semi-single precision), the value could vary from 12.4 to 13.6 TFLOPS. However, there is a possibility that the final version of the product will reach around 8 TFLOPS at FP32, if Samsung decides to optimize the specifications during the validation phase.

Despite these encouraging configurations, it is important to highlight that there is still no official confirmation that all these numbers will represent the final specifications of the Xclipse 970. Both the number of computing units and frequencies may change as the Exynos 2700 advances through the testing and adjustment stages.

If this data is confirmed, it indicates a significant jump in graphics processing power for the next smartphones in the Galaxy S27 line, promising a more robust experience, especially for the most demanding games.
