Japanese adult video actress Hana Kuraki was found dead at age 25 inside an apartment in the Kabukicho district of Tokyo on September 12. Authorities have not disclosed the cause of her death.

A friend discovered Kuraki inside the residence and immediately contacted the property owner, a bar operator named Sakito. Sakito subsequently arrived at the address to assist and speak directly with officers from the Tokyo police. The Tokyo police have not released further details about the investigation.
Sakito confirmed that Kuraki had previously spoken to him regarding ongoing difficulties in her personal relationship.

Following the discovery, Sakito shared public condolences regarding the passing of Kuraki. He stated that no further harm should come to the deceased or those close to her through misinformation or speculation.
She died at 25. Sakito also called for an end to abusive conduct in personal relationships. He stated that he hoped for a world free of people who use violence to control others or drive them to desperate situations. The apartment where the discovery occurred belongs to the bar owner.

In May 2026, after Kuraki attempted to end their relationship, her former boyfriend reportedly visited her residence, seized an iPhone, and dragged the actress with his moving vehicle when she attempted to stop him, causing severe injuries to her face and jaw. Prior to that incident, police arrested the same man in November 2025 on theft and assault charges after he allegedly entered her apartment and stole valuables.
