Omoda Jaecoo will introduce seven vehicle launches and updates in Brazil during 2027, expanding its portfolio with an entry-level model priced near R$ 100 thousand to rival top-selling urban electric hatchbacks. The commercial offensive, announced on Tuesday (29) in São Paulo, marks a broader effort by the Chinese carmaker to expand beyond its current premium crossover lineup and secure higher market penetration across Latin America largest automotive market.
The aggressive timeline comes alongside an operational goal to deliver 150 thousand vehicles in Brazil throughout 2027, positioning the company among the top five automotive retail brands in the country. Chery International Group, the parent company overseeing the Omoda and Jaecoo divisions, confirmed that its expansion strategy involves entering lower price brackets where consumer volume remains highest, particularly against competitors like the BYD Dolphin Mini, Geely EX2, and GAC Aion UT.

Omoda Jaecoo readies compact hatchback to dispute the entry segment
The centerpiece of the company future lineup is an entry-level compact vehicle slated to debut at an estimated price range between R$ 100 thousand and R$ 125 thousand. Industry analysts anticipate the new offering will draw technical inspiration from the Chery QQ lineage, which previously circulated on Brazilian streets in the 2010s as a combustion-powered economy hatchback before transitioning into an electrified city platform abroad.
Automotive executives confirmed the arrival of the vehicle during a press conference on Tuesday. “We are going to launch an entry-level vehicle next year,” stated Hu Peng, chief executive officer of Chery International Group and Omoda & Jaecoo Brasil. While the company has not published an official price table, competing models in the entry-level electrified category currently start around R$ 120 thousand, prompting the brand to explore competitive pricing closer to R$ 100 thousand.
Omoda 4 crossover will challenge subcompact SUVs
Alongside the urban compact, the automaker will introduce the Omoda 4 crossover, designed to slot underneath the existing Omoda 5. The model measures 4.4 meters in body length with a wheelbase of 2.62 meters, sharing identical overall length with the Jeep Compass while competing directly against compact and subcompact alternatives such as the Renault Kardian, Volkswagen Tera, and Jeep Avenger.
Leandro Teixeira, head of product and price planning at Omoda & Jaecoo Brasil, outlined the vehicle market balance during technical presentations. “It is a more basic car within our range, with a simpler level of finish, but with strong appeal in space and interior and exterior design,” Teixeira stated. The Omoda 4 is estimated to launch within a price corridor between R$ 120 thousand and R$ 150 thousand, bridging the gap between the budget hatchback and the established midsize crossover range.
Current retail footing and new brand derivatives
Omoda Jaecoo formally began selling passenger vehicles through its dedicated Brazilian dealership network in 2025 with three foundational offerings: the Omoda 5, Omoda 7, and Jaecoo 7. Operating strictly from a base price floor of R$ 160 thousand, the enterprise registered 28 thousand vehicle licensing registrations between January and August 2026, capturing a 1.9% overall market share in the country and standing in 14th place in total automotive sales.
To reach the projected 150 thousand volume milestone without relying heavily on corporate fleet discounts, the manufacturer plans to draw on derivative powertrains, flex-fuel hybrid configurations, and specialized vehicles from Chery International ecosystem. The seven product introductions scheduled across 2027 encompass additions from allied corporate sub-brands, including Lepas and iCaur, which will reinforce retail dealership showrooms across major metropolitan areas.
Pending confirmations on the 2027 model rollout
Omoda Jaecoo has not disclosed the complete calendar specifying the exact debut month for each of the seven vehicles arriving in 2027. The definitive commercial designation of the upcoming budget car also remains unconfirmed by factory headquarters, leaving open whether the car will carry the historic QQ badge or debut under an entirely separate nameplate when national sales begin.
