Two teenagers were shot dead on Wednesday night (28) along the BR-423 highway in Cachoeirinha, in the Agreste region of Pernambuco. One of the victims was 14 years old and worked as a barber, with more than 1 million followers on social media. The other was 16.

Residents called the Pernambuco Military Police after hearing gunshots near a commercial establishment beside the road. Officers isolated the stretch of road to protect the crime scene until civil police and forensic experts arrived.

Bodies found on the shoulder without medical help

Forensic experts from the Instituto de Criminalística confirmed both deaths on the shoulder of the road, where the teenagers fell without receiving medical help. Investigators collected bullet casings and other ballistic traces from the asphalt to support the expert reports. The bodies were sent to the Instituto de Medicina Legal in Caruaru for autopsies.

Teen barber built a following of over 1 million online

Police have not named a suspect or a motive

Police have not released biographical details about the 16-year-old. Investigators are checking whether he had a friendship with the 14-year-old.

Investigators from the Belo Jardim Seccional are waiting for the ballistic and forensic body reports before formally summoning witnesses. No suspect has been identified, and the motive remains unknown.
