Toyota launched the 2027 model year of the Corolla Cross in Brazil on June 16, 2026. The line has four versions, XRE, XRX, GR-Sport and XRX Hybrid Premium, priced from R$194,790 to R$223,790. Most changes sit in the GR-Sport and in the multimedia system, while the engines stay the same.
The Corolla Cross is one of the best-selling SUVs in the country and competes with the Jeep Compass, VW Taos and Caoa Chery Tiggo 7. The 2027 update aims to keep the model competitive in one of the most contested segments in Brazil.

Hybrid flex engine delivers 122 hp combined
The XRX Hybrid Premium uses a 1.8-litre Atkinson-cycle engine that produces 101 hp with ethanol and 98 hp with gasoline, plus 14.5 kgfm of torque. Two electric motors add 72 hp and 16.6 kgfm, bringing the system’s combined output to 122 hp.
Toyota says the hybrid flex uses about 30% less fuel than non-electrified versions and emits up to 70% less CO2 when running on ethanol. The 2.0 flex engine of the XRE, XRX and GR-Sport makes 175 hp and 21.3 kgfm, paired with a CVT that simulates ten gears. The launch reports do not describe a plug-in version or an all-electric range for the 2027 model.
Exterior changes stay with the GR-Sport trim
The GR-Sport receives a trapezoidal front grille that no longer connects to the LED headlights, an exclusive front bumper and a new rear bumper. Its alloy wheels get black painted centers, and the rear lid trim has a new finish.

The XRE, XRX and XRX Hybrid keep the exterior design introduced in April 2024, according to the reports on the launch. The GR-Sport comes in Preto Infinito, Vermelho Granada and Branco Lunar.
Toyota Play 2.0 screen and TPMS reach every trim
All four versions get the Toyota Play 2.0 multimedia system, with a 10.1-inch high-definition screen and a redesigned central console. The model also receives tire pressure monitoring (TPMS) as standard equipment.
Toyota Safety Sense comes standard, with adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assistance, pre-collision system and automatic high beams. The SUV keeps seven airbags and front and rear parking sensors.
GR-Sport cabin adds sport pedals and GR details
Inside the GR-Sport, Toyota adds brushed steel pedals, new seat upholstery and GR embroidery on the headrests. The steering wheel now has a GR logo on its lower rim and drops the perforated detail used before.
Sorocaba plant keeps building the Corolla Cross
Toyota continues to produce the Corolla Cross at its Sorocaba plant, in the interior of São Paulo. The SUV is offered with flex and hybrid engines, and the 2027 line is also available through KINTO subscription and fleet rental, except the GR-Sport.
Prices and service plan for the 2027 line
Prices rose by R$1,100 on the GR-Sport and on the XRX Hybrid Premium. The GR-Sport now costs R$218,490, up from R$217,390, and the hybrid costs R$223,790, up from R$222,690. The XRE starts at R$194,790 and the XRX at R$211,790.
The initial warranty is five years and can be extended to ten years with maintenance at authorized dealers. Under the Revisão Facilitada program, a reduced-price maintenance plan, the first service costs R$585.80 and the services up to the sixth cost R$949.00.
