Activision launches Call of Duty: Warzone Season 1 on November 6, 2026, on all platforms, fully integrating the free-to-play game with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. The company reports that the season brings the new maps Hajin and Zodiac, and that the Warzone game ends support for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One from this season.

According to the official publication, the season starts at 00:00 ET, which the Brazilian press reports as 02:00 Brasília time on November 6. The official Call of Duty publication in Portuguese, from October, gives 01:00 Brasília time, and that divergence has not been resolved by the sources consulted.

Hajin and Zodiac join Warzone in Season 1

Hajin is a new Battle Royale map set on the Korean Peninsula, the first Warzone map in that region, and it connects to the Modern Warfare 4 campaign narrative. The map has 13 main points of interest across North Korea and South Korea, according to the season notes.

Zodiac is a new Resurgence map built around the drone assembly and manufacturing headquarters of the RDC Advanced Systems in South Korea. It has 10 points of interest, including the Administração, the Ferrovia and the Fornalha, and was developed by Beenox in collaboration with Infinity Ward.

Warzone leaves PS4 and Xbox One, and progress carries over

From this season, Call of Duty: Warzone is no longer available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The publisher says the game and Modern Warfare 4 will focus on newer hardware generations. Players keep their progress if they sign in to a compatible platform with the same linked Activision account.

The removal follows an earlier step: on June 4, 2026, Warzone was removed from the PS4 and Xbox One stores, with no new downloads, and on June 25 the in-game store was also removed on those platforms.

The change means the free-to-play battle royale game no longer runs on those two consoles, and the sources consulted do not say how many players used them. The publisher links the decision to its plan for the game and Modern Warfare 4, which will focus on newer hardware. For players who want to keep their progress, the only route described in the season notes is to sign in with the same linked Activision account on a compatible platform, such as the Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S or PC.

Switch 2 gets Warzone for free from November 6

Call of Duty: Warzone arrives on the Nintendo Switch 2 for free from November 6, marking the franchise’s debut on the portable console. The season is also available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.

Unified progression and new equipment in Season 1

The season unifies progression across Multiplayer, DMZ and Warzone. The player level is reset, and players can optionally earn Prestige in each of those modes. Players get access to the 33 launch weapons of Modern Warfare 4 within Warzone.

New equipment includes the Lançador de Tirolesa, which creates a zip line that any squad member, including enemies, can use, and the Drone Coletor, a drone that can carry items, loot and other Operators. Elite Perks also debut in the season.

  • Season 1 launch: November 6, 2026, 00:00 ET, all platforms
  • Season 1 maps: Hajin (Battle Royale) and Zodiac (Resurgence)
  • Launch modes: 3 time-limited modes, including Ponto de Encontro, aimed at new players and returning players
  • Mid-season: Verdansk returns, along with Ressurgência Massiva and Ressurgência Carregada

Cosmetic items also carry over to Warzone. Operators, Operator skins and Operator Weapon Designs, along with Visitor Cards, Emblems, Operator Finishing Moves, Emotes, Graffiti, Parachutes and Trails from Modern Warfare II, Modern Warfare III, Black Ops 6 and Black Ops 7, will be available in Call of Duty: Warzone from Season 1. The new Operator Skin Preference lets players choose which operator skins are shown in Call of Duty: Warzone. Weapons from earlier titles follow separate rules, and the season notes list the features they cannot use.

  • Legacy weapons can still be used, but cannot be edited in the Armory
  • Legacy weapons are not compatible with Desafios de Retícula
  • Legacy weapons are not compatible with Personalização de Arma
  • Legacy weapons are not compatible with Armeiro Cosmético
  • Legacy weapons are not compatible with Compartilhamento e Códigos de Configuração

Verdansk returns in the middle of Season 1

Verdansk does not return at launch. It comes back in the middle of Season 1, with new structures such as the Estação de Sinalização and the Observatório. The official roadmap for Season 1 was published on November 2, 2026, according to the season notes.

Details still unconfirmed

The full Warzone roadmap for Season 1 was not verified beyond the items listed here. The rules and values of the Aumentadores de Arma, Kits de Entrega and Operações Terrestres were not confirmed by the sources consulted, and the complete list of Season 1 modes was not confirmed in an independent source.
