Caixa Econômica Federal will draw this Thursday (13) the 2940 Mega-Sena competition with a prize estimated at R$ 100 million. The value is accumulated after no bettor hit all six tens in the previous contest, held on Tuesday (11). The draw takes place at 9pm at Espaço da Sorte, in São Paulo, with live broadcast.
If there is a single winner, the gross amount of R$100 million is deducted by 13.8% of Income Tax, resulting in approximately R$86.2 million net. Experts point to conservative investment options to preserve and multiply capital.
- Selic Treasury yields approximately 10.5% per year in November 2025
- Savings pays 0.57% per month plus TR, according to current rules
- Values consider full application of the net premium
Selic Treasury Income
The Treasury Selic registers a rate of 10.5% per year in November 2025, according to the daily quote from the National Treasury. Investing R$86.2 million net, the investor receives around R$875 thousand per month without touching the principal.
This post-fixed security follows the Selic rate and offers daily liquidity. Annual gross profitability reaches R$9.05 million, with a regressive tax of 17.5% for redemptions after two years.

Application to current savings
Savings yield 0.57% per month plus Reference Rate in November 2025, according to the rule for deposits with Selic above 8.5%. With R$86.2 million, the monthly gain is around R$491 thousand.
The calculation considers the account’s birthday on the same day as the deposit. The operation remains exempt from Income Tax and presents zero risk under the Credit Guarantee Fund (FGC) up to R$250,000 per CPF and institution.
Comparison between options
Selic Treasury exceeds savings by almost 78% of monthly income in the current scenario. The annual difference reaches R$4.6 million more in the public bond.
Conservative investors prioritize liquidity and security in both products. The choice depends on the redemption period and the applicable taxation.
Other conservative alternatives
DI funds with zero rates follow the CDI, close to the Selic, and deliver a similar yield to the Treasury. CDBs from medium-sized banks pay up to 110% of the CDI with FGC coverage.
LCI and LCA maintain exemption from IR and deadlines from 90 days. These options diversify the portfolio without increasing credit risk.
Guidance from Caixa to winners
Caixa recommends attending the branchwith document and CPF for prizes above R$50 million. Payment takes place within two business days after identification.
Professionals at the institution offer free initial guidance. The redemption period ends in 90 days from the draw.
The prize of R$ 100 million represents the highest accumulated value of the Mega-Sena in November 2025. Bets remain open until 8pm in lotteries and digital channels.
