Suzuki begins a new phase in its history with the official launch of the e Vitara, its first global electric model. The SUV, which promises a range of more than 400 kilometers, represents the definitive entry of the world’s eighth largest car manufacturer into the 100% electric vehicle segment. Este strategic move marks an unprecedented chapter for the Japanese brand, which seeks to combine tradition and innovation.
The presentation of e Vitara consolidates Suzuki’s commitment to sustainability and energy efficiency. The name Vitara, iconic in the 4×4 universe since its first generation in the Salão of the Automóvel of Tóquio in 1988, will now become synonymous with respect for the environment. The automaker is betting on the new model to meet growing market demands for cleaner, more technologically advanced vehicles, without giving up the features that have established the line.
Plataforma Heartech-e and innovative design define the new SUV
The e Vitara debuts with the Heartech-e platform, developed specifically for electric vehicles. Esta base features a flat and robust design, essential for housing batteries in complete safety. The platform’s architecture also guarantees a spacious cabin and an optimized center of gravity, crucial factors for occupant stability and comfort. Para reinforce safety, the battery cells are independent and isolated, increasing impact resistance.
At 4.28 meters long, the new e Vitara is a completely redesigned vehicle. Seu SUV design stands out for its geometric shapes and angular lines, which give it a sculpted 3D appearance. Elementos striking looks include amplified hexagonal fenders and a wide overhang, which contribute to a muscular aesthetic and a strong personality on the road. Duas battery options and agile recharging system
Desde its launch, the and Vitara offers two battery options for consumers. The first has a capacity of 49 kWh, ideal for urban use and medium-distance trips. Para drivers who require greater range, there is a version with a 61 kWh battery. The powertrain consists of an electric motor, a power inverter and an efficient transmission system, designed to deliver performance and economy.
The 4×2 version with a 49 kWh battery delivers 144 horsepower (106 kW). Já configuration with 61 kWh battery achieves 174 horsepower (128 kW). The 4×4 variant integrates two eAxle systems, with one engine on each axle, resulting in a combined power of 184 horsepower (128 kW on the front axle and 48 kW on the rear). An intelligent battery temperature optimization system maximizes the effectiveness of charging operations and prevents overheating. Fast recharging allows the vehicle to charge from 10% to 80% in approximately 45 minutes, using direct current of up to 90 kW. The Suzuki Connect app offers features such as charging scheduling and MyRoom mode, which allows you to use the air conditioning and audio system while charging.

The new Vitara has been designed to offer remarkable off-road capabilities, maintaining the tradition of the Vitara line. The vehicle has driving modes that can be selected via switches on the center console or via the integrated screen system. ECO mode extends range, while Normal mode provides balanced power delivery. Para provides more agile throttle response, drivers can opt for Sport mode.
Nas 4×2 versions, Snow mode is available, which improves traction on slippery surfaces. Já 4×4 variants have the Trail mode, which optimizes grip in low-traction situations. The AllGrip-e all-wheel drive option raises the level of safety and traction, with its two engines providing 1.5 times more torque than the 4×2 version. Advanced Segurança and complete onboard connectivity
In terms of safety, the e Vitara is equipped with an extensive suite of driving assistance systems (ADAS). Entre among them, the Dual Sensor Brake Support II stands out, which helps prevent collisions, and the post-collision multiple braking system. The vehicle also offers lane keeping assist, lane departure prevention, adaptive cruise control and traffic sign recognition.
Outras safety technologies include speed limiter, adaptive high beam assist, blind spot detection and rear traffic alert. The eCall system, for automatic emergency calls, guarantees an additional layer of protection.
