Chinese companies launch six-seater SUVs with luxury technology under R$300,000

Chinese Montadoras expands the offer of spacious vehicles for Brazilian families with competitive prices. The Leapmotor C16, confirmed for 2027, promises six seats and cutting-edge technology for less than R$300,000. The trend reflects the manufacturers’ strategy of adapting products to the Brazilian taste for space, comfort and modern features without reaching the values ​​of traditional minivans such as the Kia Carnival, which exceeds R$700,000.

Leapmotor C16 arrives with six-seater configuration

Leapmotor confirmed the C16 for the Brazilian market in 2027. Trata is a version derived from the C10, already sold in the country, but with an expanded configuration for six occupants. The model exceeds 4.90 meters in length and offers two individual seats in the second row, followed by a one-piece bench for two people in the third. Essa layout prioritizes individual comfort over maximum use of space.

The size of the C16 is close to premium utility vehicles such as the Volvo XC90 and Audi Q7, but with a higher roof to facilitate access for occupants. Leapmotor confirmed two engines for the model: an electric version with 292 horsepower and an extended-range hybrid with 231 horsepower. Ambas should be below the R$300,000 level, making the vehicle accessible to large families looking for alternatives to conventional minivans.
