German manufacturer Brabus, renowned for modifying Mercedes-Benz vehicles for almost 50 years, has launched its first model with a completely independent body. Batizado from Bodo, the new supercar is a limited edition and represents a milestone in the company’s history, with a starting price of one million euros, plus taxes. The vehicle, an Gran Turismo 2+2-seater coupe, was presented during the prestigious Semana of Automóvel of Como, at Itália, at the Fuori Concorso event, standing out for its impressive design and performance.
The launch of the Bodo is a tribute to the company’s founder, Bodo Buschmann, who passed away in 2018. Constantin Buschmann, current CEO, explained that the conception of a uniquely designed Brabus automobile was an old vision of his father, often discussed between them. Materializar this idea became a deeply personal and emotional process for the family, culminating in the creation of a vehicle that carries the brand’s legacy and innovation.
Classic Design meets refined aerodynamics
The body concept of the Brabus Bodo is intrinsically classic, offering a combination of elegance and sportiness. Construído in carbon fiber, the Gran Turismo coupe presents spectacular lines, which are also aerodynamically efficient. Detalhes like the mega diffuser and variable rear spoiler, which adjusts its height and angle depending on the driving situation, demonstrate Brabus’s attention to the smallest engineering details.
The vehicle’s presentation at Semana of Automóvel of Como, with the Concorso d’Eleganza in Villa d’Este as a backdrop, highlighted its visual appeal. The Bodo embodies a timeless aesthetic, designed to stand out in terms of both beauty and aerodynamic functionality. Cada body component has been optimized to provide superior performance and unique aesthetics.
Desempenho super sports car and robust platform
The Brabus Bodo wouldn’t live up to the brand’s name without supercar-worthy performance. Equipado with a 5.2-liter V12 twin-turbo engine, the coupe delivers an impressive 1,200 Nm of torque and a power of 736 kW, equivalent to 1,000 horsepower. Essa robust engine guarantees vigorous acceleration and high maximum speed, characteristics expected from a vehicle of this caliber.
Apesar from the Brabus tradition of improving Mercedes vehicles, the Bodo platform is not derived from the German automaker. Nos In recent years, Brabus has diversified its operations, producing models based on brands such as Range Rover, Porsche, Bentley and Lamborghini. The basis of the Brabus Bodo is, in fact, the same as the Aston Martin Vanquish, which underlines the choice of proven engineering to sustain high performance.
Exclusividade and limited edition customization
The Brabus Bodo is not a one-off prototype; it will be produced in a strictly limited edition of just 77 units. Este number symbolizes Brabus’s founding year, 1977, adding a historical touch to the release. Limited production makes the Bodo an even more exclusive vehicle, especially when compared to the volume of units of the Vanquish.
The interior design of the Bodo takes personalization to a new level, surpassing what is found in mass production models. The environment is almost completely customizable to meet each customer’s specific desires, combining driving comfort with sporty support. The material selection includes the highest quality leather and automotive-grade Alcantara, extending to the rear seats.
With a curb weight of approximately 1.7 tonnes, the Brabus Bodo is light for a luxury coupe of its size and equipment level. The almost perfectly balanced weight distribution between the axles guarantees precise and predictable driving. Isso allows drivers to exploit the car’s maximum performance, which accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just three seconds. The vehicle reaches 300 km/h in 23.9 seconds and a top speed of 360 km/h, unparalleled figures for an Gran Turismo.
Advanced Tecnologia for experience optimization
Para ensure that the performance of the Bodo is fully usable in different conditions, the supercar offers diverse driving programs. Essas settings range from “Wet” to “Super+”, intelligently regulating the responsiveness of the drivetrain. Essa flexibility allows the driver to adapt the vehicle’s behavior to his preferences and the environment.
The adaptive suspension system complements the driving programs, with different characteristic curves developed in collaboration with technology partner KW. The driver can choose their preferred setting, from “Comfort” for smoother rides to “Corrida Track” for maximum performance. Além Additionally, a lifting system contributes to everyday usability by elevating the vehicle at low speeds. Esta functionality allows the Bodo to safely negotiate speed bumps and ramps without compromising the integrity of the chassis or lower components.
Custo and Unique Market Cap
The Brabus Bodo has a base price of one million euros, which does not include the country-specific Imposto on Valor Acrescentado (VAT). Customization options are virtually unlimited, which can further increase the final cost of the vehicle. Mesmo being a substantial sum, the price is justified by the extremely limited production, luxurious features and, above all, the relentless performance that the model offers.
Há has little direct competition for a vehicle with these characteristics and exclusivity on the market. The combination of cutting-edge engineering, high-quality materials and tight production positions the Bodo as a collector’s item and an icon of luxury. The Brabus also offers a bonus for owners: a branded leather jacket, which matches the car, comes as a gift.
