Microsoft introduced Surface Laptop Ultra during Computex 2026 on Taipé. The new high-performance notebook integrates NVIDIA’s RTX Spark Superchip and targets professionals who work with artificial intelligence and content creation. The device combines Arm processor with powerful GPU in a portable form factor.

The model appears as a direct response from Microsoft to the MacBook Pro. Ele prioritizes local performance for demanding tasks without relying exclusively on the cloud.

Chip RTX Spark Superchip drives new notebook

The heart of the Surface Laptop Ultra is NVIDIA’s RTX Spark Superchip. The component brings together a 20-core Arm CPU, a GPU based on the Blackwell architecture with 6,144 CUDA cores and 128 GB of unified LPDDR5X memory.

Essa configuration allows up to 1 petaflop of AI compute. The design shares the memory pool between CPU and GPU through the NVLink C2C interconnect. The approach reduces bottlenecks at heavy loads and improves energy efficiency.

Desenvolvedores can run language models with up to 120 billion parameters directly on the device. The platform also supports video editing, 3D rendering, and smaller model training tasks locally.

Tela mini-LED PixelSense Ultra highlights visual quality

The 15-inch panel uses mini-LED technology with a resolution of 2880 x 1920 and a density of 262 ppi. Maximum brightness reaches 2000 nits in HDR mode, which makes working in environments with variable lighting easier.

Criadores content gains color accuracy and high contrast for image and video editing. The tactile touchpad occupies a generous area at the base of the notebook.

The chassis keeps the weight below 2 kg, distributed in two color options: Platinum and Nightfall. Portas include HDMI, USB-C, USB-A, SD card reader and headphone jack.

Resfriamento and build optimized for sustained performance

The Microsoft adopted dual fans with a revised internal layout. The system maintains controlled temperatures even under prolonged AI or rendering loads.

The design preserves the premium line of the Surface family. Usuários meet solid construction and refined workmanship. The company did not reveal the exact battery capacity, but promised full-day use of mixed tasks.

Posicionamento targets AI creators and developers

The Surface Laptop Ultra seeks space among professionals who need raw power in mobility. Large-capacity unified memory helps overcome limitations common in traditional notebooks.

The RTX Spark platform represents NVIDIA’s advancement in the Windows on Arm ecosystem. Vários manufacturers are expected to launch similar models in 2026.

Microsoft highlighted close collaboration with NVIDIA to optimize software and drivers. The focus is on fluid experiences with Windows tools and Copilot+ features.

Lançamento scheduled for late 2026

The notebook should hit the market at the end of 2026. Detalhes price and exact configurations are closer to the availability date.

Analistas see the device as an Windows alternative to the MacBook Pro for those who prioritize local AI and graphics performance. Success depends on application compatibility in the Arm environment and real autonomy in intensive use.

The announcement reinforces the trend of PCs with increasing AI capabilities. Fabricantes focuses on hardware that performs complex tasks without constant connection to servers.
