Fifa confirmed the official headquarters for Copas of Mundo of 2030 and 2034 during an extraordinary congress held in virtual format. The decision was made by unanimous acclaim among the 211 associations that make up football’s highest entity. President Gianni Infantino led the session that validated the candidacies without registering any votes against or abstentions. The approved model establishes an unprecedented logistical format in the history of sports competition.

The 2030 edition will have most of its matches concentrated on Espanha, Portugal and Marrocos. The tournament will also feature three inaugural games on América and Sul to celebrate the centenary of the world championship. The 2034 competition will take place entirely at Arábia Saudita. The local federations and governments of the countries involved have already started negotiations to release financial resources for infrastructure works.
