Inazuma Eleven: Cross announced for iOS, Android – Gematsu

The title is a free-to-play training simulation game. In it, the user assumes the role of coach and builds the team step by step. The story revolves around Shiosawa You, who seeks to restore the original flow of events in the series’ universe.

Launch brings command and customization mechanics

The game’s controls are based on intuitive commands. Players do not command each athlete individually during matches. Instead, they define strategies and make decisions at key moments, such as shots or dribbling. Hissatsu techniques consume TP and can define the outcome of confrontations.

The system allows you to switch between automatic, manual or play highlights mode. This facilitates short sessions, ideal for mobile. Teams have five main members and up to eleven reserves. Reserves synchronize their level with the lowest holder, which simplifies management.

Equipment improves character attributes. It is possible to disassemble and synthesize items to create stronger versions. Cross Lounge mode lets users decorate their own virtual room, adding a touch of social personalization.

Original story and connection to the Inazuma Eleven universe

The main plot follows Shiosawa You as a coach at Inazuma Japan. He is given the position under special circumstances and works to correct distortions in the timeline. Classic characters appear in new contexts, such as Gouenji acting for Teikoku Gakuen.

This approach allows franchise veterans to reconnect with idols while new fans join the series. The narrative progresses in stages. Each completion unlocks training materials and unlocks additional content.

  • Main Story mode with sequential progression of chapters and matches
  • Daily trials to earn gear on Normal, Hard, Very Hard and Hell difficulties
  • Limited Soccer Battles with restricted teams of five players
  • Online competition with up to ten games per day and ranking system
  • Connections Board to recruit athletes via specific challenges

Launch Events and Player Bonuses

To celebrate the debut, the production prepared gacha with the character Prince of the Snowfield Fubuki Shirou in rarity ☆3. Anyone who logs in receives up to 50 Gacha Inazuma Tickets. Pre-registers gained extra perks, such as Dia Balls and clothing items.

The Nippon Daihyou 2026 Project begins on June 14th. The limited event unites the game with the real Japanese national team. Endou Mamoru and Kidou Yuuto arrive as temporary characters with special techniques. National team uniforms and decorative rugs enrich the Cross Lounge.

Level-5 also released episodes of the FFI arc on YouTube for a limited time. This helps those who want to remember the lore before diving into the new story. A theme song called Yugami accompanies the release.

Technical sheet and what to expect in the coming weeks

The game runs well on smartphones. The interface is clean and the games flow quickly in double speed mode. Developers promise constant updates based on feedback from the closed beta, which took place between January and February.

Players who participated in the beta had their progress erased at launch, as per the company’s standard. This guarantees equality for everyone on day one.
