The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra had real images leaked this week, revealing design details ahead of its scheduled launch in July. The photos show Samsung’s foldable in use, highlighting the external screen that has thinner edges compared to the previous model.

The images indicate a refinement in the use of the external screen, which maintains a centralized hole for the selfie camera. The volume and power buttons remain on the right side of the device, maintaining the line’s known ergonomics.

External screen with reduced edges

This change suggests that Samsung seeks to maximize the usable space on the front of the device, which adopts the “book” format. The cleaner look on the sides of the external screen can improve the user experience in closed mode, especially for notifications and quick apps.

In addition to the hardware, the leak brought four exclusive wallpaper options for the Fold 8 Ultra. They all follow a pattern of fluid waves that stylizedly resemble the number 8, reinforcing the identity of the eighth generation.

Specifications expected for the top of the line

According to information circulating, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra should come equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy processor. The configuration includes up to 16 GB of RAM and up to 1 TB of internal storage.

The set of cameras must maintain a 200 MP main camera with optical stabilization, accompanied by a 50 MP ultrawide camera and a 10 MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. On the front, two 10 MP lenses, one on each screen.

The battery has been updated to 5,000 mAh, with support for 45 W fast charging. The device should leave the factory with Android 17 and the One UI 9 interface.

Launch and market positioning

Samsung has not yet officially commented on the leak. The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra is part of the new 2026 family of foldables, which also includes the standard Galaxy Z Fold 8 and a Wide version, with the Unpacked event expected for July 22nd.

Design refinements and premium hardware position the Ultra as an option for those looking for maximum performance in a foldable format.
