Prince Harry’s family, including him and Meghan Markle, will visit the United Kingdom next month, as reported by British press outlets last Monday (17). It will be the couple’s first return with their children in four years.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Harry and Meghan, are expected to travel with their children Archie, aged seven, and Lilibet, aged five, according to information from the BBC and The Telegraph. This will be the first time the full family has visited Britain in a four-year period.

Currently residing in California, in the United States, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle left the United Kingdom in 2020. The decision came after they stepped away from their royal roles, which marked the beginning of a notable and prolonged distance from the British royal family.

In subsequent years, Prince Harry made several quick trips back to British territory. Among the most significant are his visits to Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral in 2022 and to the coronation ceremony of his father, King Charles III, in 2023.

In September last year, he had a meeting with King Charles in England, his first in 19 months. Harry’s most recent presence in the country was in January this year, when he was in court over a case against the publisher of the Daily Mail, which involved alleged illegal data collection.

Prince Harry, on previous occasions, has expressed his desire to seek reconciliation with members of the royal family. For this reason, the visit generated speculation that this reunion could signal a possible easing of tensions within the royal family.

There is still no confirmation whether King Charles III will meet his grandchildren Archie and Lilibet during the scheduled trip. The last time Harry’s entire family was on English soil and had personal contact was during Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations in 2022.

The trip coincides with preparations for the one-year countdown to the Invictus Games, a sporting competition aimed at injured, sick and other members of the armed forces. Prince Harry is the founder of these Games, created more than a decade ago, and which take place biennially.
