Vini Jr. challenges court decision against Light and seeks to prove credit of R$ 162 thousand in work
Player Vini Jr. filed a new legal appeal after having a claim against the company Light denied. The Brazilian National Team athlete seeks to reverse the decision that prevented access to documents that, according to him, would prove a credit of approximately R$162 thousand. The appeal was presented last Tuesday, June 16th.

Previously, Vinicius Jr. had initiated a process known as “action for early production of evidence” against Light. He requested that the concessionaire be obliged to make a series of records available, including documents, service recordings and protocols.

The objective of the requested material would be to confirm the existence of an alleged amount of around R$162 thousand that would be owed to the player. This amount, according to the athlete, would have been mentioned orally by a company representative after Vini Jr. made a considerable investment in electrical adaptation works on his property.
However, the initial request was rejected by the Court. The justification for the refusal was that the athlete was unable to clearly demonstrate the need for the precautionary measure to produce evidence that had been requested.
Arguments for Vini Jr’s new appeal
In the appeal, Vini Jr. argued that the judge made a mistake in accepting Light’s justifications and concluding that the credit in question did not exist. The attacker reiterated that the fundamental purpose of the action was just to gain access to the documents, and that it was not appropriate, at that procedural stage, to debate whether the credit was really due or not, as that would be a discussion on the merits.
