The Formula 1 engines roar again this weekend, as the Red Bull Ring in Austria hosts the eighth round of the 2026 season.

This event represents the closing of the first third of the season, crucial for the championship disputes, especially after Lewis Hamilton’s recent victory in the Barcelona Grand Prix.

In the general classification, Andrea Kimi Antonelli maintains his lead despite abandoning the race in Catalonia, but his leadership is under threat. The Italian driver has 156 points, while Hamilton is chasing him with 115, widening the gap to George Russell, who has 106.

Charles Leclerc occupies fourth position, however, far from the leaders after two consecutive retirements. The Monegasque has 75 points, feeling the approach of Lando Norris, who has 73. Oscar Piastri, with 68, and Max Verstappen, with 55, follow in the sequence, while the Brazilian Gabriel Bortoleto has two points, in 17th place.

Formula 2 reaches its sixth of the 14 stages scheduled for 2026, with Gabriele Mini in the lead (86 points) and Nikola Tsolov in second (80). Brazilian Rafael Câmara showed recovery, reaching third place with 69 points, followed by Alex Dunne (67) and Noel León (54). Emmo Fittipaldi, another standout from Brazil, is in 18th with ten points.

In turn, Formula 3 competes in the fourth of nine stages on the calendar, which did not have the Bahrain race replaced. Ugo Ugochukwu leads with 58 points, surpassing teammate Théophile Naël (52). Bruno del Pino (48), Freddie Slater (47) and Brando Badoer (41) complete the top five. Brazilians Pedro Clerot (16 points, 10th) and Fefo Barrichello (no points, 28th) also compete in the category.
