Kelvy Pablo’s bus and team collide in Ceará after brake failure, resulting in minor injuries
The bus carrying forró singer Kelvy Pablo and the members of his band was involved in an incident on CE-469, in Crateús, in the interior of Ceará, last Wednesday afternoon (24). The vehicle lost control and collided with an embankment. Fortunately, the occupants only suffered minor injuries.
The Military Police reported that a total of 21 individuals were on board the bus. The delegation was traveling from Pedreiras, in Maranhão, with a final destination in the city of Alagoinha, in Paraíba.
During the journey, the collective faced a brake failure when descending the steep “Tucuns slope”. In a decisive action to avoid a greater tragedy, the driver reacted promptly and chose to direct the vehicle into an embankment on the side of the road, a crucial emergency maneuver to control the situation and minimize damage.

The Military Police detailed that the front part of the bus suffered significant damage due to the impact. The driver and some passengers suffered injuries, but all of them were superficial.
According to the PM’s report, two teams from the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu) were mobilized to the location, where they provided first aid to the people involved. After the service, passengers removed their belongings and waited at the location for a new bus to arrive to continue the journey.

Singer Kelvy Pablo reports relief after incident
Kelvy Pablo used her social media to comment on the accident, describing the absence of serious injuries as a “miracle”.
The artist expressed his feeling: “The day didn’t start so well, but I’m going to glorify the name of Jesus, because I know a miracle happened here today. […] We were going down a mountain here. In short, Jesus put his hand so the car wouldn’t roll over like that and crash down there”, said Kelvy Pablo.

As a result of the event, the bus was positioned across the highway, which created difficulties for the flow of other vehicles in the area.
“Thank God everyone is fine, just bruises. I only hit the front of the car here and the back here. When I got out of the car, the first thing I did was kneel here and thank God. No one saw it, but Jesus saw me kneeling”, declared the singer while recording the condition of the vehicle.
Due to what happened, the artist had to cancel the performance he would give in Alagoinha (PB) on the same Wednesday.
The singer’s team released a note explaining: “Out of respect for the safety of everyone involved and given the circumstances of what happened, it will not be possible to hold the show scheduled for this date. We sincerely apologize to the public, the event’s production team and everyone who was waiting for this moment.”
