A significant milestone was reached in the national automobile scene with the CAOA Chery Tiggo 5x. The automaker announced that the sports utility vehicle reached the impressive figure of 100 thousand vehicles manufactured and sold on Brazilian soil, establishing its position as one of the pillars for the brand’s expansion in recent years.

This performance is notable for one particularity. Of the total vehicles sold, 97.7% were destined for retail, revealing a consistent preference among the final consumer public for the model. This suggests that the success of the Tiggo 5x is not supported by large volumes for rental fleets or direct sales to companies.

CAOA Chery Tiggo 5X 1.5 TCI 2027 – Disclosure

The Tiggo 5x is manufactured at the plant in Anápolis, Goiás. The vehicle gained even more notoriety and competitiveness after the launch of its updated version, which incorporated aesthetic changes, new features and technological innovations, allowing it to compete head-on with other SUVs already established on the market.

However, the brand’s advancement was not limited to sales volume. The significant demand for the Tiggo 5x Sport, introduced in 2023 with a focus on the relationship between price and benefits, resulted in the expansion of the production capacity of the manufacturing unit in Goiás, also generating more direct jobs at the facility.

The Tiggo 5x has achieved impressive numbers in recent months. The automaker announced that the SUV surpassed the mark of five thousand monthly registrations and achieved sales of approximately 12 thousand units in the first five days after the debut of its modernized line.

Such statistics, although coming from the company itself, are crucial to understanding the rise of the SUV as one of CAOA Chery’s flagships in Brazil. This performance not only reflects the brand’s largest share in the sports utility vehicle segment, known for its high competitiveness, but also demonstrates a broader movement towards consolidation of Asian manufacturers in the country, changing the dynamics of a market previously dominated by traditional automakers.

In addition to commercial gains, the success of the Tiggo 5x is the basis for a robust investment plan for the company. With an initial budget of R$3 billion, the program received an additional contribution of R$5 billion, bringing the total to R$8 billion to be applied over the next five years.

CAOA informed that this capital injection will be directed towards updating the factory in Anápolis, creating new technologies, increasing production capacity and preparing for future launches of the brand in the national territory.

The Tiggo 5x is available in different configurations, with prices suggested to the public ranging from R$ 126,990, for the Sport version, to R$ 144,990, for the PRO MAX DRIVE edition, the most complete. The latter stands out for offering a set of advanced driving assistants (ADAS), seven airbags and a more comprehensive range of items that promote comfort, technology and safety.
