Thais, BounPrem talk about partnership and dream roles upon arrival in Brazil
Noppanut Guntachai and Warut Chawalitrujiwong, known as BounPrem, are looking forward to their first meeting with Brazilian fans in the country, scheduled for August 30th. The duo of Thai actors shared details about coming to Brazil, their admiration for the local audience and how their friendship strengthened their professional collaboration, both on and off screen. They also commented on the characters they still want to play. Currently, artists from GMMTV, one of the largest Boys Love (BL) content producers in Thailand, star in “Revamp: The Undead Story” and are finishing “Plan B to U”, a new BL series scheduled for release this year.
Boun revealed that coming to Brazil is significant for him, because, although he has visited the country before, this is the first time he has shared the experience with Prem. “Yes, I’ve actually been to Brazil. But never with Prem. If you follow our social media, you know that we have a lot of Brazilian fans. Some Brazilians have already come to Thailand to see us too. I wanted to say that I really like the energy of the Brazilian fans. Prem needs to experience that. It’s a lot of fun!”, he said. Prem, who has already heard countless stories about the passion of Brazilian fans, expressed great expectation to meet them in person: “P’Boun told me that Brazilian fans really enjoy events with us. They are very excited! So I really want to meet them”, he said.

The affection of Brazilians, in fact, left a deep mark on Boun in recent years. The actor reported that the vitality of the admirers completely changes the atmosphere of the events, dispelling any apprehension. “Sometimes we speak in Thai and they don’t even really understand what we’re saying, but they still shout at us. This ends up making us relax, lose our nervousness and gain more energy”, he said, with good humor. The duo’s harmony was also addressed. When asked about the main quality of his colleague that may go unnoticed by the public, Prem quickly replied: “I think the most important thing is that we know how to listen to each other and don’t put pressure on each other. I think we are each other’s safe haven.”

Boun confirmed the point, explaining that the harmony between them extends to their career choices. “We always try to find a middle ground between us. When we need to make a decision, we talk and decide together. It is never something imposed or mandatory”, he said. After gaining global recognition with romantic roles, both artists expressed a desire to explore new genres in acting. Prem expressed his desire to see Boun in a role very different from what fans are used to: “Let’s say, in relation to the genre of the series, I wanted to play a character with a mafia vibe. I want P’Boun to play a mobster role. It’s a character he’s wanted to play for a long time”, he revealed.
Boun himself confirmed this desire, detailing that he aspires to play characters of greater complexity and intensity. “That’s it! I want to play a guy like a delinquent, that kind of character. I want to play a character that uses force, be a red flag from time to time. I’ve played a lot of ‘green flag’ characters”, he said. With a touch of humor, Prem ended the conversation, causing laughter: “And I wanted to be rich, at least in a series”. The artists will have a fan meeting in Brazil on August 30th, at 4pm, at Teatro APCD, in São Paulo. The event, organized by GIG Music in collaboration with NPBL Studios Entertainment, GMMTV and CDM Entertainment, will offer various activities for fans, such as photo shoots, “hi touch” and “soundcheck”. Tickets for the meeting are available for purchase.
