Confirmation of the deal is unlikely to happen on August 12, 2026, as PSG has a decisive commitment. The French team will compete in the European Super Cup against Aston Villa, in Salzburg, Austria, seeking their second title of the tournament.
Initially, Barcelona rejected an offer of 40 million euros, the equivalent of R$238.2 million, from PSG. The final value of the negotiation is projected to reach 50 million euros (R$297.8 million). The Catalan club does not intend to prolong the discussions, considering that Ferran Torres is in the last year of his contract and could leave for free in June 2027, which motivates the sale now to avoid financial losses.
Currently recognized as a historic figure in the Spanish national team, Ferran arrived at Barcelona in December 2021. During his time at the club, he accumulated 207 appearances, scored 65 goals and contributed 22 assists, in addition to winning seven titles, including three Spanish Championships, three Spanish Super Cups and one Copa del Rey.
