PSG finalizes agreement with Ajax to sign striker Mika Godts for R$330 million
Paris Saint-Germain reached an agreement with Ajax to acquire striker Mika Godts. The Dutch team approved the offer of 55 million euros, equivalent to 330 million reais, for the 21-year-old Belgian player. Godts is expected in Paris in the coming days to undergo medical examinations and formalize his contract with the French club on August 14, 2026.
Godts had a remarkable performance last season for Ajax, contributing 17 goals and 12 assists. He also participated in the current season, playing for the Dutch team in the qualifying phase of the Conference League and in the first game of the Dutch Championship, registering four appearances and one goal.

The signing of Godts responds to a specific request from coach Luis Enrique. The coach sees the 21-year-old as the perfect alternative to replace Barcola, if the French athlete is traded. Currently, Barcola, who plays for PSG, is the target of Liverpool’s interest in this transfer window.
Godts came through the youth ranks of Anderlecht and Genk before joining the Ajax squad. His main position is on the left side of the attack, but he demonstrates versatility by also playing on the right or centrally. In Belgium, the athlete’s playing style has already generated comparisons with the renowned player Eden Hazard.
Despite his good recent performance, Godts was not called up to represent Belgium at the 2026 World Cup. The striker’s absence from the national team caused surprise among the Belgian press, especially considering his outstanding season at Ajax.
PSG’s offensive in the transfer market is also directly linked to Barcola’s situation. Luis Enrique evaluates Godts as an athlete who can ensure the maintenance of speed, dribbling ability and attacking production on the sides of the field, if the French player is indeed sold during this window.
