GTA 6 Jason voice: Dylan Rourke leads fan guesses before launchBy Luís Henrique Costa

Fans most often name Dylan Rourke as the actor behind Jason, one of the two protagonists of GTA 6. Rockstar Games has not confirmed any performer for the cast, though. Rourke is a US actor whose work has mostly been one-off parts on television and in film.
Jason and Lucia share the lead in a crime story set in Leonida, the region shown in the game’s trailer. Because the studio keeps the cast secret, players compare how the characters look and sound with those of known actors. That method does not replace an official confirmation.
The theory gained traction in May 2024, when the YouTuber LegacyKillaHD said, citing a source he considered reliable, that Rourke would play Jason and Manni L. Perez would play Lucia. The source was never identified, and Rockstar did not confirm the claim.
Jason’s actor in GTA 6 will definitely be Dylan Rourke. Rob Brinkmann, whose voice sounds very identical to Jason’s, has now denied playing the character. Meanwhile, Dylan has also deactivated his Instagram account, possibly until he’s allowed to officially confirm his role when the game releases next month.

Dylan Rourke’s TV and film roles, starting in 2005
Cast databases list a career built on small parts on television. The entries include the following credits.
- Grey’s Anatomy (2005), as Tyler Hemphill
- Modern Family (2009), as Big Guy
- In the Vault (2017), as Mike Costa
- Station 19 (2018), as EMT Todd
- 9-1-1: Lone Star (2021), as Firefighter Trout, in episode 2×14
On the big screen, he appears in Jezebel (2017), Send It! (2021) and Bury the Bride (2023). In the last one, he played a character named David.

Fans link Manni L. Perez to the role of Lucia
Lucia’s most cited actor is Manni L. Perez, known for Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and Jessica Jones. Perez also has a credit in GTA Online, in the 2019 expansion The Diamond Casino & Resort, as a blackjack dealer. In August 2026, a video shared on the social network X compared the dealer’s voice with Lucia’s, and the debate picked up again.
Vice reported that the Instagram account used as a sign of the casting appears to be fake and run by someone impersonating the actress. Since then, the identities of both lead voices have remained unconfirmed.
The only performer to speak publicly so far is Stephen Root. He told the Associated Press at the BAFTA TV Tea Party in September 2026 that “Yeah, you’re gonna see me in there.” He did not name his character, and outlets link him to Brian Heder based on his voice in the trailers.
Troy Baker and Roger Craig Smith have both denied playing Jason. Jim Santangeli said in a June 2026 TikTok livestream that he has a small part in the game.
Release date holds at November 19, 2026, cast still under wraps
GTA 6 is scheduled for November 19, 2026, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Rockstar set that date on November 6, 2025, after moving it from May 26, 2026. Pre-orders opened June 25, 2026, with the Standard Edition at $79.99 and the Ultimate Edition at $99.99.
Digital pre-loading starts November 12, 2026. Rockstar has not announced a PC version or a release date for it.
Based on the studio’s history, the full cast is expected to be confirmed around launch or after it, as happened with GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2. Until then, the identity of Jason remains speculation.
