GWM presented this Monday (17) the 2026 line of the Haval H6, a hybrid SUV that receives visual, technological and performance updates. The launch occurs after the brand loses its leadership in electrified sales in the Brasil to BYD in 2025. Sales of the new versions begin immediately at the network’s dealerships.
The main new features include facial recognition for starting, a 14.5-inch multimedia screen and a larger battery in the top-of-the-line version. Prices start at R$223,000 and reach R$325,000, with four electrification options.

New front design and minimalist interior
The front of the HEV2, PHEV19 and PHEV35 versions features a renewed grille with more robust elements. The daytime light signature now extends down the sides in a waterfall format.
Inside, the steering wheel now has just two fixing rods and a completely black finish. GWM removed white details and the movable lid from the cup holders to reinforce the minimalist style.

Performance maintains 393 hp in the top version
The line continues to use a 1.5 turbo engine combined with up to two electric motors. The PHEV35 version increased the battery capacity from 34 kWh to 35 kWh, keeping the name updated.
The set delivers 393 hp and 78.7 kgfm of torque. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h occurs in 4.9 seconds, a time equal to that recorded by the Porsche 718 Cayman.
Top speed remains electronically limited to 180 km/h. The suspension was recalibrated to be firmer without losing comfort.
Embedded technology receives reinforcements
The multimedia center grew from 12.3 to 14.5 inches vertically. The system now features Huawei maps with 3D rendering of cities and traffic light countdowns.
The facial recognition feature allows you to start the engine without a key. The map can be displayed simultaneously on the instrument panel and on the center screen.
- Facial recognition for departure
- Voice assistant with advanced commands
- Projection of Android Auto and wireless Apple CarPlay
- Remote Software Update (OTA)
- Customizable widgets in the interface
Prices and available versions
The 2026 Haval H6 range now has four options:
- HEV2 – R$223,000 (conventional hybrid)
- PHEV19 – R$ 248,000 (plug-in with greater electrical autonomy)
- PHEV35 – R$ 288,000 (three motors and 35 kWh battery)
- GT – R$ 325,000 (sports version with the same package as the PHEV35)
GWM carried out the first impressions on a closed track at São Roque (SP). The journalists accelerated to the electronic speed limit and tested the new suspension setup on smooth ground.
The brand has registered 25,373 units of the Haval H6 in 2025 to date. The number is 16.4% below the BYD Song, the new leader among hybrids and plug-ins in the country.
Competition in the electrified segment
The electrified medium SUV segment grew 78% in 2025, according to data from Fenabrave. BYD Song Pro and Plus totaled 30,335 registrations in the period.
GWM responds with more standard equipment and price adjustments in some versions. The strategy seeks to maintain a share above 20% in the hybrid and plug-in niche.
The GT version has a more open grille for better cooling. The model prioritizes sporty handling with exclusive chassis and accelerator adjustments.
