Dacia Sandero leads new car sales in Spain in May with 3,215 units

Spanish families maintained their preference for affordable vehicles. The Dacia Sandero ended May as the best-selling car in the country, with 3,215 units sold. The result came in a month of stability in the market, despite a slight decline in total sales.

The Spanish automotive sector registered 111,894 new vehicles in May. The number represents a drop of 0.8% compared to the same month in 2025. In the year to date, however, the volume rose 5.9%, to 519,531 units.

Conventional Híbridos dominate buyers’ preference
