Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen was announced during the Nintendo Direct broadcast on June 9, 2026. The reveal took place this Tuesday and brought details about the expanded version of Capcom’s open-world action RPG.
The title is the latest in the Dragon’s Dogma series. Dragon’s Dogma 2 arrived in March 2024 for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Now, Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen adds the far northern region called Norgan and brings back equipment evaluation mechanics seen in previous games in the franchise. The game has been confirmed for the Nintendo Switch 2.
Capcom also revealed that the content from the Dark Arisen expansion will be made available separately as DLC for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. This approach allows owners of current versions to access new features without having to purchase the full game again.
The release of Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen is scheduled for October 9, 2026. The Switch 2 version should bring the complete experience with additions.
