PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium plan subscribers can expect a series of new titles arriving in June 2026. Sony has just released the complete list of games, which includes big names and some regionalized release dates, sparking debate in the community. Among the highlights, “Destiny 2: Legacy Collection 2025” is now available for PlayStation 5 and 4.

Highlights from the game catalog added to PS Plus Extra

A robust selection of titles joins the catalog for PS Plus Extra subscribers. The highly anticipated “Final Fantasy 16” will make its world debut on the service on June 16, making it one of the most anticipated releases. Other RPGs and simulators also enrich the library, with varying dates for different regions, as detailed below.

  • Final Fantasy 16 (from June 16th)
  • Kingdom Come: Deliverance (from June 16th or 23rd, depending on region)
  • Life is Strange: Double Exposure (from June 16th or 23rd, depending on region)
  • Farming Simulator 25 (from June 16th or 30th, depending on region)
  • Blades of Fire (from June 16th or 30th, depending on region)
  • Black Desert (from June 16th or 30th, depending on the region)
  • Sonic

A PlayStation 2 classic returns to the Premium service

Fans of nostalgic games will have a reason to celebrate with the addition of a classic. The title “Gitaroo Man”, an acclaimed PlayStation 2 game, will be added to the Premium catalog. Its worldwide launch is scheduled for June 16th, bringing back a jewel from the past era for new generations of players.

Sony resumes strategy of staggered releases by region

A notable feature of the June 2026 releases is the adoption of staggered dates for different regions, especially between the United States, United Kingdom, Japan and the rest of the world. This strategy has already been attempted by Sony in the past, generating confusion and criticism from the community of players who sought simultaneous access to the titles. The resumption of this practice can create frustration and challenges for the synchronization of online communities, in addition to increasing spoilers.

Apesar dos desafios percebidos pelos jogadores, a decisão pode indicar uma tentativa da Sony de otimizar a distribuição ou atender a particularidades de licenciamento e marketing em mercados específicos. Splitting dates, however, makes organization difficult for players and can lead to disparities in the overall experience.

Titles already available and imminent releases

While most games arrive throughout the month, some can already be accessed or are about to debut in the next few hours. “Destiny 2: Legacy Collection 2025” has been included in the catalog for both PS5 and PS4 platforms. Additionally, “Sonic X Shadow Generations” is launching in regions including the US and UK today, with Japan receiving the game tomorrow, June 11th.

Given the complexity of the release dates for new titles, Sony has not yet confirmed which games will leave the catalog in July. The expectation is that, over time, the company will be able to provide more details about upcoming removals, allowing subscribers to prepare in advance.
