During the event celebrating the 15th anniversary of the MAPPA studio, responsible for productions such as Jujutsu Kaisen and Yuri!!! on Ice, the development of a mobile game based on the popular Chainsaw Man franchise was officially announced. The news came together with the release of a trailer for “Chainsaw Man: Assassin’s Arc”, expanding the universe of the series for mobile devices.
The band Maximum the Hormone, already known for their iconic contribution to the anime’s third ending theme, “HAWATARI NIOKU CENTI”, and its extended version in the film “Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Arco da Pray”, will be responsible for the new game’s opening song. The new track was titled “ALL THE LYNCH!!! ALL THE MINCE!!”, promising to maintain the group’s characteristic energy for the project.
The game’s opening video, which was presented during the studio’s anniversary event, had its animation produced by MAPPA’s own team. This collaboration reinforces the franchise’s visual identity and raises fans’ expectations for the title’s graphic quality.
In parallel, production of “Chainsaw Man: Arco dos Assassins” continues, with the participation of key members who worked on the Arco da Reze film. Among them are director Tatsuya Yoshihara, screenwriter Hiroshi Seko, character designer Kazutaka Sugiyama and composer kensuke ushio, ensuring creative and technical continuity.
The original Chainsaw Man manga, created by Tatsuki Fujimoto, who also writes the work “Look Back”, had its Part 1 serialized between December 2018 and March 2026 in the weekly magazine Shonen Jump. Part 2, in turn, was released through the Shonen Jump+ application, demonstrating the evolution of the publication over time.
Published in Japan by Shueisha, the complete series has 232 chapters, distributed in 24 volumes. The franchise reached the impressive mark of more than 36 million copies in circulation globally, consolidating itself as a worldwide phenomenon. In Brazil, Editora Panini is responsible for publishing the manga, bringing Denji’s story to Brazilian readers.
