Position of the Brazilian team in the preliminary phase of the Nations League
The result keeps Brazil with an impeccable record, undefeated after seven rounds in the 2026 Women’s Nations League, consolidating its leadership in the competition’s overall ranking.
The preliminary phase of the tournament features the participation of 18 teams, where each team plays 12 matches over three weeks. The seven best campaigns advance to the decisive knockout phase, together with China, which already has its place assured as it is the host country of the final phase. Brazil’s unbeaten record, in this context, means that the team has built a considerable safety margin to guarantee its classification in advance, reducing the pressure of the final group stage games.
The Brazilian team’s next challenge in the second week of competition in Türkiye will be against Germany, with the game scheduled for tomorrow, at 10 am (Brasília time).
The third and final week of the VNL qualifying phase is scheduled to take place between the 8th and 12th of July, taking place in the city of Osaka, Japan.
The final stage of the competition, which will define the champion of the Nations League, will be held between July 22nd and 26th, in the city of Macau, located in China.
