Apple today launched the annual update to its line of smart watches, presenting three new models designed for different user profiles, from those looking for practicality in everyday life to athletes and fitness enthusiasts. The recently announced Apple Watch Series 11, Apple Watch SE 3 and Apple Watch Ultra 3 are now available for pre-order.

Main features of the Apple Watch Series 11

The Apple Watch Series 11 is positioned as the brand’s flagship model, being the recommended option for most iPhone owners. Representing the latest edition in a series of wearables that Apple is constantly improving, the 2025 model maintains the familiar case design of previous versions, now enriched with new color options such as Glossy Black, Silver, Rose Gold and Space Gray.

Although the design remains similar, innovations in health monitoring are the highlight of this launch. The main new feature is the ability to monitor hypertension, a feature that offers an important tool for managing blood pressure, allowing continuous and preventive monitoring, something crucial for the cardiovascular health of many users. In addition, the device brings back blood oxygen monitoring and heart rate measurement, complemented by a new sleep scoring functionality, which analyzes multiple factors to assess the quality of night’s rest.

To the delight of users, Apple implemented a higher capacity battery in the Series 11, guaranteeing up to 24 hours of use on a single charge. This advance in autonomy is a positive point, considering that the improvements did not result in a price increase compared to the previous generation, with starting prices of US$399 for the 42 mm version and US$429 for the 46 mm version.

Apple Watch SE 3 Updates and Accessibility

In the most affordable segment of Apple’s smartwatch line, the new Apple Watch SE 3 makes its return with significant improvements, after a few years without updates. The third generation of this basic model incorporates features that bring it closer to its more complete brothers, offering excellent value for money.

The focus of the 2025 update is on adding more sophisticated health features. The sleep score, which debuts on other devices in the line, is also present on the SE 3. For the first time, the model has an always-on screen and supports gestures such as double tapping and wrist movement. Charging convenience has been improved, with the 18-hour battery life now offering the ability to get eight hours of use from just 15 minutes of charging.

These innovations ensure that users who do not need all the features of the Apple Watch Series 11 can still enjoy most of the benefits at a more attractive price. The Apple Watch SE 3 is available in two sizes, 40 mm (from $249) and 44 mm (from $279), in Midnight or Starlight aluminum colors.

Performance and resistance of the Apple Watch Ultra 3

At the top of the line, the Apple Watch Ultra 3 returns to the market after a lack of launch in the previous year, presenting itself as Apple’s most robust and complete smartwatch. This new device maintains the titanium design of the previous version, but now with a larger and brighter screen, designed for extreme conditions.

The Ultra 3 raises the bar in terms of battery life, offering an impressive 42 hours of use on a single charge. It preserves all the essential features of the series, such as an ultra-rugged design with premium materials, dual-band GPS and satellite connectivity. New health features, such as hypertension detection and sleep quality analysis, have also been integrated, and Apple has also added exclusive Flow and Exactograph watch faces.

The material options for this generation remain the same as the previous model: Natural Titanium and Black. Both versions start at US$799, consolidating the Apple Watch Ultra 3 as the ideal choice for those looking for maximum performance and durability.
