The Argentina team, already assured in the knockout stages and with the first position in its group in the World Cup guaranteed, is preparing for the confrontation with Jordan. The match will take place next Saturday, June 27th, at 11pm Brasília time, and the team will be able to implement a player rotation system. The South Americans demonstrated their strength by winning the opening two matches of the tournament, with scores of 3-0 against Algeria and 2-0 against Austria.

All the goals scored by the Argentine team so far in this competition have been scored by Lionel Messi. Although the star, at 39 years old, could take advantage of the opportunity for a well-deserved rest before the most important World Cup duels, the number 10 expressed his desire to participate in all the games and, therefore, should start as a starter. This commitment, unusual for athletes of his age in guaranteed group stages, underlines his personal ambition and leadership in the squad.

Lionel Scaloni, Argentina’s coach, plans to give playing time to athletes who haven’t had many opportunities at this World Cup yet. The information was raised by Diego Monroig, correspondent for ESPN Argentina, who closely followed behind the scenes of the selection.

The coach’s intention is to focus on recovering the playing rhythm of some of his team’s players. Among the names that should receive priority are Nicolás Tagliafico, Gonzalo Montiel, Leandro Paredes and Julián Álvarez, essential for the continuation of the campaign.

The first change already assured in the main team involves the departure of defender Romero, who suffered a blow to his knee during the clash against Austria and will need to be rested. For his place, the experienced Nicolás Otamendi will enter the field as a substitute.

In the right-back position, the coaching staff is still debating between Nahuel Molina and Gonzalo Montiel to start the match. Scaloni expressed his desire to provide minutes for Montiel, who has recovered from a minor injury that prevented him from playing in the previous round.

Still in defense, Marcos Senesi is tipped to make his first appearance in the tournament, playing in defense. At left-back, Tagliafico is the favorite to take the position, replacing Facundo Medina.

In the midfield sector, the doubt remains about a possible rest for Mac Allister and Enzo Fernández, although both show interest in remaining on the field. The commander is also analyzing the possibility of increasing De Paul’s playing time. Furthermore, Nico Paz could gain some minutes, while Julián Álvarez and Nicolás González emerge as Messi’s likely attacking companions.
