If the data is validated, the title would not only become the biggest pre-sale in the history of video games, but it would also position itself among the biggest commercial launches ever recorded in any segment of global entertainment. The amount raised, of US$3 billion, for example, exceeds the budgets of many of Hollywood’s biggest blockbusters, highlighting the game’s unprecedented scale on the world stage.
The distribution of these reserves indicates that around 12 million copies correspond to physical versions of the game, while the other 27 million would be digital editions.
