New generation Fiat Fastback has entry-level version with distinct visual details revealed in camera
Fiat continues to test the new generation of Fastback in Europe, although a preview has already been held at Stellantis’ FaSTLAne event. Known as Grizzly in the European market, the coupe-shaped SUV was recently spotted by the profile @gabetzspyunit, showing new details that had not been revealed in the initial presentation, especially about the appearance of its more affordable version, which will present striking distinctions compared to the premium configuration.
In a comparative analysis with the more expensive editions of the Fastback, the entry-level model will not feature the glossy black finish on the wheel arches, which will be replaced by matte plastics. The 18-inch wheels, which stand out on the top version, will give way to a set of smaller rims and a more discreet design. Another notable change is the absence of connected lights, present in the top version, with the example spotted showing significantly smaller pieces installed at the ends of the body.

Additionally, the images captured reiterate that the rear part will be the great aesthetic attraction of the new Fastback, highlighted by the steeply sloping roof that highlights the coupe style of the body and enhances the next generation’s sporting proposal. At the front, the SUV coupe features a raised hood, the brand’s badge centered on the grille, and rectangular headlights equipped with LED segments. The bumper, in turn, incorporates a large opening at the bottom and has a design that harmonizes perfectly with the front end.

The new Fiat Fastback platform promises more space and technology
Regarding its structure, the future Fastback will have important improvements. Although Fiat has not yet provided detailed information, it is certain that the MLA platform will be replaced by the advanced Smart Car matrix, developed by the Stellantis group. This transition represents a qualitative leap, as the Smart Car architecture is global, modular and prepared for various engines, including electrification, which positions the model in line with the automaker’s future strategies and improves competitiveness.
Among the various optimizations provided by this new architecture, the SUV will offer a wider interior, mainly benefiting passengers traveling in the back seat. To achieve this, the wheelbase, which is currently 2.53 meters, will be expanded to approximately 2.60 meters, a measurement identical to that of the Citroën Basalt, which shares the same structural base.
The official debut of the new Fastback in Europe is scheduled for October, coinciding with the Paris Motor Show. On this occasion, the vehicle will be introduced to the European market for the first time, marking its global expansion, a level that the previous generation never reached. In Brazil, where the project is internally identified as F2X, the commercial arrival of the model is expected between 2027 and 2028.
