GTA 6 should underperform on Xbox Series S, while PS5 promises superior experience
Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled to release on November 19, but Xbox Series S players may experience a lower quality gaming experience compared to other platforms.
Rockstar Games has already signaled that GTA VI will have its best performance and features on PlayStation 5.
The strategic marketing partnership between the developer and Sony is in full swing, highlighting the exclusive features of the DualSense controller for the game.
In a post on the official PlayStation blog, it was detailed that the controller’s haptic feedback provides immersive vibrations, while the adaptive triggers offer dynamic resistance.

Additionally, DualSense’s built-in speaker will add a new dimension to pivotal moments and interactions, with sound effects enhanced by haptic feedback.
Anyone who purchases GTA VI for the PS5 will also have access to Tempest 3D AudioTech, as long as they have compatible accessories, and will benefit from the speed of the console’s ultra-fast SSD.
There is a general expectation that both the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X will run the game at 60 frames per second (fps), a refresh rate that, unfortunately, is not expected to be achieved on the Xbox Series S, the all-digital console.
Industry expert points to 30 fps limit for Xbox Series S
Expert Remigiusz Maciaszek, in his podcast on YouTube, released information about the expected performance of the Xbox Series S, as noted by a magazine specializing in comics and games.
Maciaszek briefly mentioned that 30 frames per second are expected for the Series S, a revelation that doesn’t come as a big surprise to the community.
This distinction in performance between the Series S and Series X is common, with “007 First Light” being one of the recent large titles to have a limited frame rate on the more affordable console.

Maciaszek’s credibility is bolstered by his correctly leaking the “Songs of the Past” DLC for “The Witcher III: Wild Hunt” before its official confirmation.
However, it is always advisable to take this leaked information with a grain of salt until Rockstar Games makes an official announcement.
Previous reports had suggested that GTA VI could be limited to 30 fps on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X consoles as well, which makes the current report more reassuring for many players.

Lack of physical discs raises concerns among players
The pre-sale launch of GTA VI did not go without a hitch, despite it being one of the most anticipated games in history. There is some frustration because Rockstar opened pre-orders without releasing any raw gameplay.

Currently, little is known about the dynamics of the game, other than the transition between the characters Jason and Lucia throughout the story.
The biggest concern at the moment lies in the absence of physical discs for GTA VI, as Rockstar has opted for the “code in a box” method for physical copies.
This approach does not represent a true physical copy, as “code in a box” only provides a digital code inside a disc packaging that is only for display in collections.

As a result, several retailers boycotted the game, refusing to stock the “code in a box” copies in their stores.
The decision was seen as bad news for game preservation, especially considering that PlayStation, days later, outlined its fully digital future, reinforcing this trend.
The price of GTA VI editions generates discussions among fans
Even the pricing of GTA VI generated controversy. The Standard Edition of GTA VI will retail for £69.99 / $79.99, while the Ultimate Edition will cost £89.99 / $99.99.
The point of contention is that the Ultimate Edition restricts exclusive story content, quests, and shops behind its higher price, which was also not well received.
Pre-ordering any edition of GTA VI will guarantee pre-order DLC, and although the game won’t be available until November 19th, pre-downloads will begin as early as November 12th.
