Motorola has completed the Android 17 testing period dedicated to its premium device, the Motorola Signature. After releasing three beta versions in recent months, the company has started distributing the stable and definitive edition of the operating system. The software package, identified by firmware version A171WVH.21-16-1-3-4, is 5.75 GB in size and requires a Wi-Fi connection and available storage to download.
Initially, the update began to be progressively sent to users in India, covering both those who participated in the beta program and other owners of the device. The launch is expected to be extended to other regions globally in the coming weeks, according to Motorola’s staged distribution method.

This new version of the system promotes a significant renewal in interaction with the smartphone. The most notable changes to the interface include the introduction of new watch face models on the lock screen, a modern-looking Control Center and notification panel, and a volume mixer feature with independent control. Additionally, the Settings menus and app drawer have been improved to optimize usability.

A relevant feature incorporated is compatibility with “Live Activities”, which allows you to show calls, music and the status of the flashlight through interactive and dynamic blocks directly on the screen. The system also features improvements in animations, more compatibility with custom icons and wallpapers with depth effects, which respond to visual items on the lock screen.
In terms of technological innovation and connectivity, the Android 17 build now supports Bluetooth LE Audio with Auracast, making it possible to stream sound to multiple compatible headphones at the same time. The package also integrates artificial intelligence features designed to improve system customization and task management, in addition to bringing the latest security updates.
Motorola Signature owners can check update availability manually by accessing the Settings menu, going to “System Updates” and then selecting “Check for Updates.” If notification has not arrived, the release will occur progressively over the next few days.
