Recent information indicates that Samsung is developing four variants for the next Galaxy S27 line: the S27, S27+, S27 Pro and S27 Ultra models.

The S27 and S27+ devices should continue to have a 50-megapixel main camera, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera and a telephoto lens, the resolution of which has not yet been detailed.

The S27 Pro and S27 Ultra models would have a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera and a 16-megapixel front camera, with the Ultra version being able to incorporate two telephoto lenses.

After the launch of the Galaxy Z Flip 8 and Galaxy Z Fold 8 series, the focus turns to the company’s future premium smartphones. There is speculation that Samsung intends to introduce four devices in the Galaxy S27 line, with some camera specifications already circulating.

Details about the cameras of the future Galaxy S27, S27+ and S27 Ultra

The four devices in the Galaxy S27 series are internally identified by the codenames NM1, NM2, NM3 and NM4. The acronym “NM” is an acronym for “Next Miracle”, following the nomenclature of the previous series, Galaxy S26, which used “M” for “Miracle”. Information indicates that the new generation will feature the Galaxy S27, Galaxy S27+, Galaxy S27 Pro and Galaxy S27 Ultra models.

Photo features expected for the Galaxy S27 and S27+

Speculations indicate that the Galaxy S27 and Galaxy S27+ will have a 50-megapixel main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS). Additionally, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera and a telephoto lens with an as-yet-unspecified resolution would complete the set.

Key camera features of the Galaxy S27 Pro

The Galaxy S27 Pro, according to the information, should have a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera equipped with a 1/2.55-inch Sony IMX855 sensor. Additionally, a 50-megapixel telephoto camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and a 16-megapixel front camera with autofocus and OIS would be present. The inclusion of OIS in the front camera represents a significant advance, promising photos and videos with much more stability, especially in low-light environments or when moving, which considerably improves the experience for selfies and vlogs.

There are no details yet on the phone’s main camera, but recent reports suggest it could reach 200 megapixels.

The Galaxy S27 Ultra reportedly has a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera with a Sony IMX855 sensor and a 50-megapixel telephoto camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and 5x optical zoom. There is also mention of a second Sony telephoto camera, identified by the acronyms R1 and R2. The model should also feature a 16-megapixel front camera with autofocus and OIS.

Although some details point to two telephoto cameras on the Galaxy S27 Ultra, caution is recommended when analyzing this information. Most other reports suggest that the device will only have a telephoto camera with a 50-megapixel sensor.
