Pop Mart, a renowned toy manufacturer, confirmed an exclusive partnership with FIFA to launch a special line of products featuring the Labubu character in celebration of the 2026 World Cup. This collaboration marks the entry of the famous collectible into the sports universe, offering fans a new series of themed items for the global championship.
The Monsters x FIFA 2026 merchandise line-up for collectors
The collection titled “The Monsters × FIFA” features a variety of objects for enthusiasts and collectors. The items include keychains, bottle openers, mini plush pendant bags and the iconic Labubu doll, which appears dressed in football uniforms, accompanied by the golden championship cup and other sports accessories.
In addition, the line includes pieces such as vinyl plush dolls, surprise boxes with pendants and refrigerator magnets that also function as bottle openers, as well as glass cups. The diversity of products seeks to meet different preferences and budgets, consolidating Labubu’s presence as an item of desire.
Labubu’s rise: from pop art to cultural and fashion phenomenon
The Labubu character, created in 2015 by Hong Kong artist Kasing Lung, saw its popularity explode in 2025. Known for its unique aesthetic that mixes playful and dark elements, the mischievous figure with sharp teeth and expressive gaze was initially part of a line of surprise toys from Pop Mart, a Chinese company specializing in “blind boxes”.
Its rapid rise to the status of a fashion and “splurge” item saw Labubu become one of the most coveted products of the previous year, frequently adorning fashionistas’ bags and accessories. This trajectory highlights the growing power of “art toys” and collectibles in the global market, transcending the niche and consolidating themselves as important expressions of pop culture and even investments.
Costs and availability of Labubu World Cup collectibles
Labubu and FIFA partnership collectibles will be available at prices ranging from US$12.99 to US$149.99. When converted into Brazilian currency, estimated values are between R$68 and R$790, depending on the product.
The sale of products will begin on April 2nd on digital platforms and, from April 3rd, in physical stores. During the World Cup period, scheduled between June 11 and July 19, 2026, cities in the three host countries — United States, Canada and Mexico — will host pop-up stores from the brand, facilitating access to the collaboration’s collectibles.
The impact of the union between Labubu and FIFA on the collectibles market
The partnership between Labubu and FIFA is not just a product launch, but a milestone that demonstrates the convergence between different cultural spheres. It signals how the collectibles market, previously restricted to specific segments, is expanding to the universe of major sporting events, taking advantage of the global appeal of both.
This collaboration reinforces FIFA’s ability to innovate in its merchandising, attracting a younger audience that is up to date with art and fashion trends. For Labubu, the alliance with one of the biggest sports brands in the world increases its relevance, solidifying its status as a cultural icon of international projection and a valuable investment for collectors.
